Some played a lot during the international break and could need a rest, but we need strong team.

    ................. De Gea

    Bissaka - Varane - Maguire - Dalot

    ............ Donny - Fred

I’ll be interested to see how we line up. I have a feeling Ole will field a stronger side but we can also probably rotate and be fine as well.

Would like to see Sancho, Dalot, and Fred all play.

I also don’t see any way in which Bruno/Ronaldo don’t start. So we’ll see what it looks like.

I don't know why we'd do much rotation. The second a cup game comes about, some seem to immediately expect huge changes. But with a tough run of league games in October and November, the last thing we need is to make the CL group even tougher by dropping unnecessary points v Young Boys.

    Henderson / De Gea

    Wan-Bissaka
    Varane*
    Maguire*
    Shaw

    Fred
    Pogba

    Sancho
    Fernandes
    Martial / Lingard**

    Ronaldo

*I expect Lindelof to get a start instead of one of them.
**Think Greenwood or Sancho will be rested to give Martial or Lingard a start.

The amount of posts with Lindelof starting
The same posters are probably the ones wanting him replaced for the last 18 months

Will be a tough match. They dominated the Swiss league last season.

Fred and Lingard in for Matic and Sancho for me.

Would like to see Lindelof and Varane for this one, and Donny in for Bruno. No idea if Ole is one to rotate like that though.

Full strength. Games, fitness and momentum are important at this time of year and we can’t afford to drop any silly points in the group stage. It cost us last year.

Anyone know what's wrong with Cavani? I'll like to see him play this one...

Oh feck, just saw the kick off time and it clashes with a schools parents evening.... Darn it, I am going to get detention for using my phone during that, unless I can wriggle out of it somehow.

Would like to see a couple of changes for this. Dalot and Van de Beek for sure, maybe another one or two also. It's a long season and we've a big squad so should use it.

Hope Dalot and Donny starts. Martial also deserves to start.

The only players we shouldnt be rotating are Pogba and Verane, everyone else we have a quality replacement.

What is it with this obsession for resting players so early in the season?

This is a very important game that we can’t afford to lose and sets the tone for the rest of the Group games.

We should put forward the strongest team and hammer this lot. There’s plenty of time for the players to rest once we have qualified.

I’d start Ronaldo on this but look to take him off around the 60th minute.

I have noticed recently that he conserves his energy in games perfectly, does everything right but still given his age he does need a rest.

    Ya it’s hilarious really

Rest Maguire  He literally plays every game

And they want Lindelof back in again

I want the strongest team out.

5 day rest before West Ham then

He’ll be making changes Wednesday week

DDG; Dalot, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw; VDB, Fred; Greenwood, Lingard, Sancho; Martial.
Bit early in the season to be chimping around with the line up?

Start with the best line-up, make subs if it's comfortable late on.

I just wanted Dalot to get a run out to see what he had. Also thought perhaps Pogba might get a rest since he’s basically played 4 times in 10 days and Fred needs to get his mojo back.

Other than that I expect the rest to pick itself. Perhaps a rotation from either Mason or Sancho as well

Yeah I don’t believe we are going to rest anyone for our first CL game of the season.

    Greenwood, Bruno, Sancho;
    Ronaldo.

Think we'll rest Matic as the only one. Ole won't be able to forget the fecking Basaksehir game. Every game is important. The Atalanta and Villareal games could prove tricky as hell, so no way will we rest as many players, as some here predict.

Hope we have killed the game by the hour mark, so we can sub CR, Bruno, and one of Pogba, Mason, or Sancho.

McFred will play in this game with Sancho on the right and Mason dropped IMO.

I'd usually agree, but this way some players will get their long awaited starts, plus West Ham away next weekend means we need all guns blazing. Wouldn't want any odd injuries on our starting XI on that artificial grass.

We've got the West Ham league cup game the following midweek to mess about with rotations.
We need to get off to a good start in the champions league.

No chance we're going second string squad on this one. It's put it to bed time and then sub off.

    Please don't tinker Ole.

Rest Matic and maybe give Lingard a start for Greenwood or Sancho. That's it.

People posting up second elevens with Dalot, Lindelof and Mata etc are absolutely bonkers. This isn't the mickey mouse Europa League any more.

Hope Mejbri gets some minutes (more than 5). Rotate Matic as he can't do the whole 2 games a week thing.
