Remember this in 2017?

Man City trash Liverpool 5-0

Klopp survived it.
So everything bad that happened to Klopp can be comparable, but anything good and it’s not fair to Ole…

Klopp is one of the best managers in the world. Ole is not. It’s that simple.

I never had a doubt about Fergie when City trashed us at home. But before the Liverpool game I already lost faith in Ole, and the players too by the look of it.

Conte in 2 seasons won the league and FA Cup.
In his two league seasons Chelsea scored more goals and conceded less. F147 A71

Under our DNA and the United way, Ole in his two full seasons has won nothing. We scored in the league 139 and conceded 80.

Conte is not my first choice but he would be head and shoulders above Ole and wins everywhere he goes. That is surely the most important part for our club, to start winning again.
I’m not sure that’s backing up your point like you think it is. One of those managers is about to be sacked and the other is going to help us win the league? I’m surprised there’s only a 9 goal swing in goals conceded.

If Conte had this United squad the difference would be greater in my opinion.

So depressing.

Lose 4-2 to Leicester
Get Smashed 5-0 against Liverpool which could have been any scoreline really, no one would be surprised if that ended 11-0

Doesn't get sacked.... Seriously he is trying to get sacked and the club are not doing anything.

Lads, I know a lot of you want Ole to be sacked, but can some of you try and be a little respectful to the man when voicing opinions? Whether he is the right man for the job or not, he is still an absolute legend at this football club and that should never be forgotten.
He's been tarnishing his own legacy by playing favorites and advocated to changes. The final straw to me is the way he fed us empty sweet words like "I am so close" after the Liverpool debacle, thinking the fans are so dumb. Where is the apology and responsibility in his manner?

Under soil heating.
We are the worst run club in the whole of world football. Can't be arsed the rest of this season now, what's the point?

The way this club operates is so depressing at times.
Yup.
Take someone like Abramovich. No BS approach. Wants to win.
Our board worries if a manager will be too mean or too uncontrollable. You think Abramovich worries about a Mourinho or a Conte throwing a fit? Haha. No. As long as they get results. If not they will be gone.

Our board just has this ineffective culture of modern corporate BS. Its why they love Ole cuz hes a perfect yes man and they dread Conte, too individualistic even though he just wants to win.

Its stupid and ineffective. Abramovichs way is much better and its how other teams operate too. Qataris also dont care about nonsense like that.
Would be better if we were Russian or Qatari owned. We do the whole corporate HR BS at our club, its a stupid ineffective culture.

Don't do that. Please. Unless you have link to that rumour.

I take everything. "Friend of the friend knows a friend who knows sister of cook in United" will do for me
I know a couple of people who work at Carrington. Theyre not in a job to know anything directly but supposedly some of the players are saying it.

It's friend of a friend stuff but I'll take it

I think the decision has already been made. Keeping him in charge for now at least means no massive disruption over the next 2 weeks while the board decide who to bring in. Although Conte seems the obvious choice the reports yesterday indicate the board have reservations about him, as do a lot on here, I think if it was certain who to replace Ole with, he's have already been sacked. Keeping Ole on, at least until the international break isn't so crazy. I doubt very much he can survive this last few days / weeks regardless of our game against Spurs, which I think we'll win by the way.

I think he will be sacked on 7th November after the City Game.

No point in sacking him now and the new manager likely losing against Tottenham + City. Let a new manager come in and hopefully start with wins against Watford + Villarreal.
A nice birthday present to me on November 7th. I understand the risks of a new manager losing his first two but I also think if Chelsea acted sooner last season they might have challenged for the league.

He’s obviously going to go, problem is how far off the top we are when he’s gone. There’s already a significant gap developing with a lot of teams in front of us.

He's on borrowed time anyway. It should be done now but maybe the board is looking at who's to replace him with.

There's practically no point in sacking him until a replacement is ready to take over.

The board should be talking to suitable candidates behind the scenes and when they have an agreement with one it will be time to sack Ole. If they are not talking to other managers still they are numpties. It's clear Ole has taken as far as he can.

No one suggested Stevie Bruce as interim option. Seems sensible if Ole does ultimately go.
Honestly, if it was for 2-3 games or something I would let him take over just as a reward for all the shit he's gone through and he's got so much experience. If it was just to get to the International break, something like that. I loved him as a player and I think he's had a decent managerial career.

Why is he still here?

Looks like he's being allowed to continue then. Absolute joke of a club we are turning into.

The only thing I can think of is that they want to delay his sacking after the City game during the international break.

I have no clue how this works though. If the players don't want to play for him, we have zero chance of winning those games. And if he drops those players, there'll be even more unrest in the squad.

It's clear as day that he's a dead man walking. So just end it already. Also, just remove the whole coaching team. We need a refresh, let the new manager get his own coaching team.

So instead of sacking him now and get a new manager in a week we have not got a game the club would rather roll the dice and leave it for a week when we have ucl commitments and a game vs city. Yeah guess he’s here for a bit then or at least till the next international break

It's not about when he goes, it's about when a new manager will have agreed and be ready to take over. Say you sack Ole tomorrow and you go into the Spurs game at the weekend with Carrick and McKenna in charge. Is it any better?

Or do you think Zidane, Conte, Ten Hag (or whoever else we think is the best candidate), will be waiting by the phone ready to move to Manchester at the drop of hat to take over the next day?

He might not lose. But even if he loses, he might evaluate the squad and do enough trainings to change things when the time comes for the easier matches.

Putting a new manager in charge with the squad having lost 5 of the last 6 leagues games and to give him only a few days to prepare must-win matches for Watford and Villareal is not a better idea. Especially considering that we will lose against Atalanta, and thus the Villareal match will become a must 'not lose' match. Lose that and we are out of UCL, so not the best start for a manager (while if he gets the team now, he can afford to lose one of Atalanta/Villareal matches).

Have some patience. Situation is so bad after many leaks, it is impossible for manager to survive. Just a matter of time. The club could be taking little more time to finalise the next action.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
There needs to be some clear fecking communication from the club for once. Ole probably knows his time is up, the next time we slip up, which will be soon, it'll now turn badly on him. Even the most resolute supporters will be fuming about this.

So what is the plan? If they're talking to other managers, are they going to just change their mind if we win the next two, very winnable games? This is the most mental thing I have ever known in football. Why does it have to be us that are going through this?

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually starting to really dislike Ole.

Anyone else feeling the same?

Expecting our board to make a proactive decision is too much! Ole managing to conjur up couple of wins isn't hoing to convince me that he deserves to remain in the job. And whilst I do not believe Conte is the answer, allowing the dressing room to become a toxic environment with the various briefings coming out is just madness.

Even if we beat Spurs there is very little chance we beat City. A thumping to City and there is no coming back from it. They're throwing him out there to be the fall guy while they decide who to take over.

Trouble with this club is win one of those games and they would give him a 5 year contract, which would not be a good idea.

Why is he still here? Apparently we are expected to confirm he's staying.

We are such a joke of a club now. So a 5-0 loss, on the back of multiple poor performances is considered acceptable? Unbelievable.

No wonder he's always grinning, I would be if I was massively out of my depth and even a 5-0 pasting by our biggest rivals wasn't going to get me tbe sack

Amazing how people are so desperate to get him out of the door they fail to see this. I'm ready for him to go but until someone is identified to take over it makes no sense to just jettison him leaving Carrick and McKenna in charge. They are part of the problem so nothing would change.
