Keane would be a disaster. He's not a good coach, and I can't see the players responding well to his style at all.
United are more interested in the social media activity and how much people are talking about them than the football, there is part of me that thinks he would be perfect because we would be the main story all of the time.

If that was him facing off against Klopp today, Klopp would have been floored.
That’s the dream. We finish 14th, our manager is banned from touchline 9 times in the same season and Klopp ends up with snapped jaw.

The Times aren't very reliable these days, if it gets reported by the Guardian or the Telegraph then cocks out. It's sad that we're all getting excited over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer getting sacked by the club, but our idiotic board and owners have driven us to this.

I think the utter incompetence and neptosim running through the club is worse than we could possibly imagine.
Absolutely spot on. I spoke with a guy I know earlier today who spends time at Carrington - he said exactly what you've just said. OGS as manager, Carrick a coach, Phelan back again as a coach, Darren Flecther as assistant DoF(?) - reportedly on £750k..??!! Which individual spends a lot of time at Carrington & is the common denominator..

I don't think Zidane has the balls or the will to come.

Why would he risk his reputation for us?

There is a France national team spot waiting for him.

Can't see it to be honest.

Surprised the Times is running with it like that, Castles is hardly reliable. He seems very sure though, no ifs and buts. He's the only one really going with Zidane too, will be interesting to see if gets it right.

Could be Mendes feeding him information.

Now?

We could have got Conte after that Liverpool defeat if they actually do this emergency meeting lot sooner.

Why the feck has it taken until now for this decision to be made? Clowns from top to bottom.

There's no chance they'd go public with something like this without it being true surely?

This isn't just a "might have a meeting" it's a definitive fact - like he's been told it's happening. I expect somebody has leaked it to him.

I love how its called emergency as if we are not in the funeral already. We are a relegation candidate if it stays like this.

If there’s one thing you can guarantee with this club is they’ll find new ways to make themselves look incompetent. After having perfect opportunity to sack Ole before international break they’ll have given him just one game more and water more time and points.

I agree mate but that was the club's strategy to protect Ole. This defeat pulled the carpet under their feet.

I don't think there's a strategy to protect him, if anything by him keeping in charge he's having to face a firing squad daily. They just seem incompetent, I suspect they didn't expect we'd end up in freefall after buying the likes of Varane et al, hence no contingency plan. And now quality managers don't want to join mid season. It's a shambles.

Keep the Ten Hag/Rangnick threads bumped and near the top, just in case this turns out to be true and during the board meeting one of the Glazerillos snaps his fingers at an intern and orders them to 'see what the fans are saying'.

No one reliable reporting this yet. That said it would hardly be a surprise and we won’t have long to wait to find out.

They were protecting him precisely because of that + they didn't want to make themselves look silly by sacking yet another manager whom they just given a contract extension to.

I'm sad that it's come to this but it needs to happen. Ole is a good man and a club legend as a player and that will NEVER change in my opinion, just not been a good manager for such a big club.

Manager - Out of his depth
Coaching Staff - Who don't know how to coach tactics
Players - Who just don't give a damn
Board - Who only act when £££ is at risk
Owners - Who know nothing about football and use us as a cash cow.

Ole needs to go 100% but as I've said before, there is a lot more to this than just manager. Something is rotten at the core of Utd and has spread out to all branches of the team. I fear we will be looking for another new manager in a couple of years if the core issues are not addressed.

To be honest, today really was a sacking offense by itself.

They could have sacked him after Pool. Or City.

But they really must sack him after a crushing defeat at Watford.

Zidane can barely speak english though. I read he was just learning it. Then again Contes english is poor enough too.
