I'd rather Ole drag us into the bottom half while we wait for a good manager than get an average manager and potentially keep him for 3 years.
I agree the coaching staff is probably all wrong, we are too easy to keep people in the man it's family which have no right being coaches anyway. Literally just cashing paychecks for doing feck all.

I just don't see us getting one of the top managers however. For me, the best managers are literally all at our rivals. And none will come here anytime soon.

Don’t get me wrong I’d take Zidane in a heartbeat, literally anyone other than Ole at this point but I do have concerns about bringing in a guy who’s not all that interested in coming to the club and also doesn’t even speak English. I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it though.

I'm 99% sure Zidane will struggle here. I watched a lot of Real in both of his stints and it won't work here with the players we have. But the Glazers and Woodward will appoint him because of his name and another 3 years will go down the drain.

I was never on the Zidane train, but Julien Laurens and Mohamed Bouhafsi have totally derailed it imo:
Laurens said he has no interest in English football at all, doesn't watch the PL, doesn't know most PL players or team styles. Also noted that his wife has no desire to live in England. He did say that his English is better than advertised though.

Ah yes because interims working well then getting a contract has always lead to amazing things. Our board is that incompetent an interim manager winning 2 games on the bounce would get a 3 year contract and we would persevere with atleast 2 of those before starting this cycle again.
If we end up with Todgers I’ll be gutted.
No doubting that Zidane would likely only be here for a bit, but I think he'd do quite well. With our current squad, we don't need some young coach to implement a gegen-pressing style. It wouldn't work IMO and would need a lot more turnover and time. Zidane has shown he's a manager who knows how to adapt to his team and opponents and get consistently good results and performances every year. I think he'll be fine.
