@Rado_N - Phillip Lindsay waived by Houston. Could ditch Gordon and just go with PL and JW.
Gordon is a FA after this season so I guess it’ll depend on what kind of money he’s looking for as to whether he’ll stay, although they were dumb enough to pay him $18m in the first place so who knows.

I’ve not seen much of Lindsay since he left, presumably not exactly tearing it up if they’ve waived him?

He's been woeful there. Not nearly as good as he was in Denver.

It's amazing that Garrett got sacked but the person who hired him still has a job
I’m guessing it will end up being the guys who hired him unsuccessfully trying to save their own jobs.

Given that they also need to replace their QB, the G-men have quite the project ahead of them.

Giants are 21-53 in the last 74 games playing in a terrible division. How is Gettleman still in the job ?

To be fair, that division is a hell of a lot harder when you don't get to play games against the Giants. :wenger:

Can't believe Patriots are now top of their division. Can they go deep in the playoffs?
It’s been such a roller coaster of a season I’m not sure. We look good and I think we can do a decent job but my instinct is if we do progress deep, it’ll likely be because our opponents put in sub par performances. In other words I think there are teams better than us but I guess in the playoffs, anything can happen.

Yeah indeed. I think the following teams are better than you:

Chiefs
Titans
Ravens
Bills

And you are on par with the Chargers, Colts, and probably the rest of the AFC North. It's just that all of those teams have been so wildly inconsistent this season that the Pats definitely can beat any of those teams on their day. Your well-executed gameplans (and good defense) also means you don't have to rely on your QB having a great day to win, unlike some of the other teams (Herbert comes to mind).

It's quite amazing that you're sitting atop the division going into Thanksgiving week, no one expected that before the season given how good the Bills were last season. They've done a remarkable job for a one-year "rebuild" in New England.

Man I can't wait for the playoffs but I also don't want the season to progress as quickly as it does

Patriots record may be supported by the massive fact they have not played much of anything good. Two wins over the Jets and wins over such dross as Atlanta and Houston. Beating the Browns, Chargers, and Panthers may count as decent wins but neither of those sides are top tier anything; same as losing to the Saints, meh.

Dallas and Tampa are the only top tier teams they have played to date and lost both times, close contests so some credit due. They also lost to the friggin' Dolphins although that was opening day so perhaps a slight pass is warranted.

Schedule gets tough for NE starting this week - vs Tennessee and twice against Buffalo with a road game at Indy sandwiched in. Those division games against Buffalo probably the more important as it helps their division title chances and automatic playoff entry. The Bills are currently 3-0 vs NE at 2-1 in division play; Buffalo will hold the advantage with at least one head-to-head win. Get through that gauntlet at say 2-2 and perhaps they are indeed a good side as record indicates. Go 3-1/4-0 - well played; go 1-3/0-4 - yep, average feasted on lesser/equal.

They finish up with two easily winnable games to inflate the record - Jaguars at home and Miami on the road.

The best outlook for any AFC side this year is the road to Inglewood looks wide open, so get in and maybe luck and performance carries throughout.

I think this is just a long way of saying NE are good but not elite, and are probably in the (very big) bucket of teams that are wild card contenders, albeit a strong wild card contender. I think the fact we are close to the Bills in the East is much more a reflection on the Bills losing track than us suddenly being competitive at their scale.

The AFC is wide open. Really for the whole league it feels like that, where a team that can attack the QB and has one that is capable enough to come through in the clutch can win it: the NYG/Baltimore model from the past couple decades.

The Rams sort of fit this model with their non-elite ( ) QB, though they are probably more exciting on offense than those teams.

Lamb will practice today and Dallas believes he can play tomorrow.

Not sure about that one. 4 days seems an awfully fast time to clear concussion protocol, looking at the hit to the ground his head took Sunday afternoon. Hope they are not rushing him back for a primetime game but you wouldn't put it past Jerry to do so of course.

Everson Griffen is struggling again. I feel for him, his mental issues are publicly known and every incidents are dealt in public.

Its largely down to Mac Jones outperforming his rookie expectations. He's got the 2nd highest completion percentage in the league (behind Murray), and is only going to get better. Sky is the limit for the Pats, especially given who their coach is.

If you didn't glory hunt so much when you were picking your NFL team, maybe you wouldn't have a team in the late slots so much.

I don't have this problem with my erm... 9-2 Cardinals.

Pretty strong schedule of games I think this week. Some really key and interesting match ups I think.

Pats Titans - wonder how we will do against proper opposition albeit Titans are a bit weak right now

Bengals Steelers is always interesting but key for that division

Colts Bucs - I think that’s a real benchmark game for the Colts to see how far they’ve really progressed.

Packers Rams should be fun. And browns ravens is always one to watch.

Even the crappier teams are playing comparably crappy teams which actually makes those games quite interesting too.

Thanksgiving baby, so great to have two full games on during a week evening.

Honestly think the Lions can earn their first win today.

This is so true. I really hope he doesn't play, regardless of whether he's cleared or not.

Same with Zeke actually, who "only" has a bone bruise in his knee. Doesn't look half the back Pollard currently is regarding burst and in between tackles. Why won't they just rest him for a week or so? They wanna go deep in the playoffs, and should be able to easily win this game with Pollard as a bell cow.

Speaking as someone relying on Lamb for any vague chance in fantasy I really hope they don’t rush him and put the health of the player at priority 1, but knowing Jerry as the Bond villain he is I doubt it’ll happen.
