Second best at basically everything right now. Plus we have been lucky they haven't managed to punish us for the couple of gifts we have given them.

Hopefully like Villarreal the longer we keep the clean sheet the more confidence we get and it can open up

De Gea is so glued to his line he hits the inside of the post on saves

I'm worried he'll bump his head on the crossbar :(

    Chelsea have been appallingly wasteful.

We've held out but some of our forward play has been let down with appalling technical ability.

Rangnick is going to make a huge improvement in this squads technical ability.

We are playing like a relegation team. I think we had two touches inside their box, and one shot.

    Would take a 0-0 though.

There's a very tiny margin of error in what he attempts. It will cost us badly someday. Hope he could cut it out of his game.

What I'd do for a midfielder like Jorginho. It's hard to fathom a midfielder is capable of retaining the ball in tight spaces, playing on the half turn and spreading it with such ease, when you watch our lot in action. Just happy ours find a red shirt even when not under pressure.

Solid game plan being let down by poor touches and decisions from the front three. If we could make the right choices and pick the right passes when transitioning we'd be making more of this. Bruno and Sancho are making their minds up too slowly. Rashford is just ghosting. An improvement from 2 out of 3 would change this completely.

Just wanna say, DDG is truly a winner and does have a great mentality. The fact that he has come back from poor form and is still going good proves it.

What the hell has happened to Rashford. He wasn’t the most technically gifted. But his touch is so crap now. We have 3-4 players in every line up that can’t control a ball and that always breaks any tiny amount of momentum we build.

I’ll take 0-0 at full time.

Rashford game intelligence is shocking.. He delayed the pass to Fred after making sure he cant shoot.. By that time Chelsea were in shape

Awful game so far and desperately average performance.Compared to the games vs Liverpool and City games though, it’s a huge improvement. So not the worst half in that context.

I wanna see Ronaldo start the 2nd half.

I understand we're playing shite but I understand why Carrick would set the team up like this. I think Ronnie going in, probably in terms of pressing the team won't get better, but after seeing first half, it won't get worse either. Clean sheet at half-time, I think it's an important setup for the remaining of the game. Ronaldo will be looking for a goal like a human looks for a meal after not having eaten for 2 days.

Some through balls on counter attack for his runs and Manchester might get something.

I understand that this is damage mitigation, any other setup and the end result would probably be worse right now.

It sucks to see the team playing like this, but I understand Carrick's PoV. In a few months, against Chelsea, it would be nice that United could play a more even match, rather than play like an 18th placed team, but we need small steps right now IMO.

Tough first half for the team, Chelsea look on a different level to us at the moment. I can see that the team wants to press hard and I like that but you can clearly see that there is a lot of work to do to get it right, especially against a side like Chelsea who it isn’t really fazing at all.

We’re shite. No way they won’t score. It’ll be a miracle if we get something out of this. Can’t see is scoring.

Started badly but think we at the end. The defence looked better and the midfield got hold of the ball more often plus we created a few chances.

Shite but also beats getting ripped to shreds in other big games this season. Will take 0-0 definitely.

Man Utd absolutely petrified of us going by the set up and the performance.

With Man Utd sitting so deep and with no attacking intention, Lukaku might be the one.
Ah the frustration sets in. Hope your players feel the same way.

Has just reinforced my belief that Chelsea are nothing special and that Liverpool will sadly pull away in the title race sooner or later. Very well coached, unfortunately in a league with Klopp and Pep that is a bit of a prerequisite and you need a bit more.

If only Fred was 5’ 10” or over 6ft, instead of being 2’ 6” or whatever he is.
He’d win a lot more of his duels and wouldn’t come off second best in tackles half the time.
With his work rate he’d be a monster.
    Sadly, just wishful thinking.

The absolute state of us... Even fecking Stoke played better than we do.
we have mctominay and matic in midfield and the laziest wingers in the league - with a paperweight up front.

it’s not really a surprise is it?

our whole game plan is lump it forward into space and hope for the best

For all the whining Utd have been fairly solid after the first 5 mins, Chelsea look rather toothless/
We've been saved by De Gea. There has been nothing solid about the Forwards, Midfield nor Defence.
