Shaw is Shaw. We all knew that he is miles better than Telles. But i still prefer Dalot on rbI hope people note the improvement with AWB and Shaw on the pitch.

Think he linked up with Ivory Coast for AFCON? Bailly was also, but recalled for this game I believe.Would have loved to see Greenwood go up top for Cavani around the 60th minute with Amad coming on.
Shame he is exiled.
Up top with Ronaldo would work well in this 442.Are you thinking of:
a) leaving him out for a few more
b) playing him up top with Ronaldo
I think you can see them getting back into shape quicker and using the attacking 10's much better. It's definitely still disjointed and we haven't pressed like crazy but a bit more hopeful than NewcastleBit of a strange performance and don't see any of the RR principles yet bar the odd flash.
Yep, next goal is crucial.Agree with this, we concede early in the 2nd half and we could fold easily.
I don’t usually associate lack of effort with Burnley.Pretty rare type of finish to be fair.
Dwight McNeill for that Sancho OG, my goodness, just jogging while Sancho made the effort to get around Shaw, diabolical defensive intensity there, he had a 5 yard start on Jadon and showed no interest in doing anything.
Nice footballer, but that is one of the reasons he is at Burnley.
Bit drasticOh... He needs to taken out and rested.
ronaldo is like a trusty old golden retriever. he is the apple of your eye. he used to go everywhere with you but the years have caught up with him. where he used to bound alongside you on a walk, he now spends most of his time laying on the rug in front of the fire, farting himself awake and soiling the floor whenever the doorbell startles him. just as you think his time is done and you start to load the shotgun, he brings his favourite toy up to you and places it in your lap and waits for a head stroke. you wipe a tear from your eye as you remove the cartridges for another day.

Take him out of the firing line. He needs to calm down and not push so hardAre you thinking of:

Hopefully fiveHow many matches is Bruno suspended for?
If you think AWB has been poor today then there's no reasonable discussion to be had.AWB was poor. Both aren’t good enough to start for a team challenging for the title.
Yeah, carrying the ball is not Bruno's game at all, he lives for those central pockets whereas Sancho and Greenwood love the inside forward sorts of positionsThis shape suits Sancho and Greenwood better than Bruno, they’re more comfortable shifting central and wide.
Just means we aren't playing high up.Is that a known-thing/phrase? Never heard of it before!
Indeed, weird game, like playing against Southampton.I don’t usually associate lack of effort with Burnley.
Apparently he was not called up. Did that change?Think he linked up with Ivory Coast for AFCON? Bailly was also, but recalled for this game I believe.
Agree with your general point though, the kid should get a lot more minutes.
Burnley get the next goal and it’s squeaky bum time with this teams mentalityThis is just like a good game under Ole. I don't see a consistent style of play or even an attempt at one. Luckily we got a few goals.
I agree. It’s not like we caught fire and will win the league. We’re sloppy. But I’ll enjoy the lead/winThis is just like a good game under Ole. I don't see a consistent style of play or even an attempt at one. Luckily we got a few goals.
*Now We Are Free* from Gladiator plays in the distance as Phil Jones is getting ready to change history as we know it.
Just glad we won't have the "should we sign McNeil" nonsense threads we've had after a couple of good 20mins spells against us in other games!Pretty rare type of finish to be fair.

He was pushing him wide, Lennon took the shot and it was a great finish, those goals happen all the time and against good defenders, you’d like to get the block but sometimes it’s just a good finish. As i said; Baily created a chance. That is situation one. He fecked up. That is why he is our 4th choice. End of that story.
THEN comes situation number two. Maguire (our first choice, 80 mil worth defender and captain) one on one with attacker. I don't know about you but i expect from first choice defender to stop attacker in that situation. He didn't take the ball, he didn't block the shot and he didn't push Lennon wide. That is bad defending
Has he even crossed the ball in once? He's not had a shocker in defence, fair enough, but mehIf you think AWB has been poor today then there's no reasonable discussion to be had.
To be fair, I'm usually defending AWB against exaggerated vitriol, but at best he's been meh tonight. Sloppy on the ball, and out of position a couple of times early on. Not terrible, but not good either I wouldn't say.If you think AWB has been poor today then there's no reasonable discussion to be had.
Id like to think Rangnick can vary his tactics. We dont need another manager with rigid philosophy. We've been there seen that done that with LVG.I think you can see them getting back into shape quicker and using the attacking 10's much better. It's definitely still disjointed and we haven't pressed like crazy but a bit more hopeful than Newcastle
His positioning was wrong even in playing him wide though. He should have been a few feet in and much tighter. That's why Lennon had the space for that shot.He was pushing him wide, Lennon took the shot and it was a great finish, those goals happen all the time and against good defenders, you’d like to get the block but sometimes it’s just a good finish.
minutes later….who will help me carry him?*Now We Are Free* from Gladiator plays in the distance as Phil Jones is getting ready to change history as we know it.
