17 goals in La Liga last season, not the worst record. Definitely seems better for actual goals than some of the other links

Bullshit link. Be prepared for a lot of these in the next couple of weeks, even more than usual.

Every time we try to sign a player settled in Barcelona it falls on its arse

Leave him alone to the topless beaches and gorgeous food

Spent most of his career in the second division. Meh.

28 years in a couple of months and spent only 4 seasons in la liga

I think he's one of the worst players in Europe when it comes to pressing stats, can anyone confirm?

He’s not settled and was left out of their squad this weekend.

He's a playmaking forward who drops deep often to initiate attacks.

Atletico was chasing him all summer last year and eventually missed out and got Cunha instead, he was seen as "trequartista" in their 2 striker system. So he isn't someone who really leads the line himself, but very mobile and lurking in the pockets kind of striker.

Diego Simeone was/is very fond of him and there was a detailed analysis on his style of play for him.

Heres a fairly recent article. Some points to consider from it:

  • Elegant player with good technical abilities and good movement
  • Can drop deep and create for other players
  • Good at turning with the ball and shielding

It doesn’t mention his abilities to press but I imagine dropping deep would lean him more towards he can do it. It may be that he can press and it’s just that he’s not really instructed to with Espanyol.

RDT is just a great name as well. Would prefer this over Morata.
