Moneys always been there. We've spent big time and time again under the glazers. Spending has never been an issue post-saf, that's not why they need to get gone.

Let’s wait until we’ve actually concluded a few more deals, shall we, before talking about how much money we’ve got?

One minute, we're needing to raise funds through player sales. Now here we are, possibly about to spend well over 100m on players.

Where is it coming from?
Think we’re selling Rashford soon that’s pay for half of the outlay and the other half was for FDJ

No one knows how much the budget was. It was all fans channel talks and media. Why does everyone just believe everything on youtube these days?

With the current debt we could do £500m. FFP makes it difficult. Also, no one wants to join us. It’s a massive risk.

I think the owners have been backed into a corner here. They have been galvanized by the fans getting ready to burn the stadium down, and the slow start with everyone knowing damn well that the players need to be changed out.

They can't just fire the coach again. The work needs to be done now and I think ETH is doing a good job in the organization just by providing a focused vision of what the team will be and who to pursue.

The media has been shitting all over the team's chasing of names that they deemed pipe dreams, acting like it's some kind of embarrassment. But all of a sudden Casemiro is a Devil.

Like I've been saying the core problem with this ownership is that they have no idea what they're doing. That's been behind them throwing shit at the walls and being the dumb money. But this transfer class I think is well focused and I actually like that they are targeting and aggressively going after the guys they target. Many of these other names that have been thrown out there are likely containing at least some who were floated by agents and are nonsense or players being used by the club to demonstrate they have other options.

It is just a shame that it took losing out the gate for the owners to realize they were backed into the corner. They probably thought ETH would win with their players the dipshits. But that should not be a surprise to anyone, bad owners gonna bad owner.

I think one or two of our big name players may be moving on that will generate extra funds for maybe one or two more signings.Rashford and maybe Bruno could be sold for a fair few quid.

Its obvious there is a lot of money no one knows about at Utd. In a week we have gone from no money unless we sell (apart from De Jong money) and now its a free for all scattergun approach to bring in another 3-4 players depending what media you read. These parasites are shitting theirselves after the events of the last couple of days and the impending protests they are worried about. Thats the only reason they are now pandering to the fans.

Glazers need to pacify the fans so they can pitch the club to asset stripping vultures. Football fans are short-sighted simpletons who like shiny new toys, it’s not a hard deduction to make.

We were going to spend £80m +£17m on Frenkie and maybe £50m on Antony. We’re now spending slightly less than we would have on Frenkie to buy Casemiro, and slightly more than we had anticipated to buy Antony.

We’d been waiting on Frenkie all summer but now that it’s not happening we can redistribute the cash.

IT IS THE SAME MONEY

Lets not forget the money saved from the contracts ending of several players who would have wanted bigger contracts. The only big contract we have done for a current player recently is Fernandes (foolishly). I expect that pretty much covers the transfer fees spent so far this summer including Casemeiro

I'm sort of worried that:

1) They're borrowing against the club to finance a last minute spree to salvage this window and get the fans off their back, and we're going to feel the pain of that in coming windows. And...

2) The fact that they're trying to do this and salvage something indicates they have no intention of selling short term. Otherwise why wouldn't they just sell up and wash their hands of the whole thing?

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
The finances are public, we used to have loads of posters that were all over the club finances. But I thought we didn't have that much cash these days?

Either they're borrowing or spending money that they know we'll be getting back through sales, perhaps Rashford, Ronaldo, Mctominay or even Maguire.

Or they're spending some money that they get from the sale of a minority share of the club.

The same reason we didn’t have enough money to get Bruno in January 2020 and then shit our pants and paid it.

Panic brings out the money. It’s ironic they’ve started splashing the cash just before Liverpool game with protests planned and some potential serious heat and toxicity landing on the owners and managements door.

So where is the money coming from?
Most likely these transfers will be paid out in installments, as is usually the case for large transfers. So it'll count against our cash flows for the next few years.

Economic levers.

And the fact that the notion that we had 20, 80 or even 100m to soend this summer was always very obvious rubbish.

We are very rich and often spend big, I think the bigger question is where do the rumours of us being unable to do so come from?

We were very willing to spend huge money on De Jong. Martinez wasn't a small signing and we have been linked heavily with Antony who was never going to be under 60 million.

Yea, I am not sure where the money is coming from either - it is making me very nervous. I don't think the club has the money. And there is little chance that the Glazers are spending out of their pockets.

When did we ever need player sales?

That is pure rubbish. Papers full with rubbish like that. Just swerve them . We’ve always spent well.

From the salaries of players who have left.

I've never heard that we 'had' to sell players, just that it made sense to get rid of players we couldn't use. You know, practicality.

We are very leveraged and often spend big on financed deals. I too, agree that the availability of money isn’t an issue. But the way the club’s finances are run is a big issue because it seems entirely contingent on United maintaining a high level of performance, translating then to assets - players, club name - maintaining a high commercial value.

In theory that sounds fine, if you disregard the prudency and ethics of loading the club with a huge amount of debt. But the problem comes when the club equates player value to past performance and overpay for Prima Donna signings. They are then put through a revolving door of mismatched tactical philosophies because there’s no overarching footballing strategy, and these players are then allowed to get away scot free when they down tools time and again because they know they have massive contracts and are difficult to move.

It’s bound to hit rock bottom when performance continually isn’t up to par, and then what? How realistic is it to ship out 3/4 of the starting 11 overnight, most of whom are grossly overpaid, and with a transfer department that has perennially only shown to be able to buy high and sell low?

Tl;dr money is not a problem. The piss poor way that the club is being run is a problem bigger than the big hairy levers that Barca likes to tug.
