Cristiano Ronaldo: Set to leave by mutual agreement

Is Ronaldo justified to say that he “feels betrayed” by Manchester United?

What a gargantuan meltdown. Ronnie has always been one to make a scene, but this takes the cake. Absolute plonker. Bloke has had 2.5 good seasons at the club in his career and has been given way too much cred for it. Almost lost the CL because he can't take a penalty for shit.
He's spent his career in Messi's shadow and that will always make him seethe. For that I can only laugh.

Pogba = crap on pitch + unprofessional
Ronaldo = crap on pitch + unprofessional
Therefore Ronaldo has become like Pogba.
At no point during his entire run of 6 seasons was Pogba anywhere near as bad as Ronaldo has been in the last 3 months, on or off the pitch. Don't get me wrong, Pogba should have been moved on at least a year or two earlier than he was, but Ronaldo is making Pogba look like a model professional right now.

While Morgan maybe only pretends to like Ronaldo that is a 16 year old article if I'm seeing the date right. You can change opinion about someone in that time.
He's definitely been on the Cristiano train for a while now, this isn't a sudden change of attitude.

We are clearly going places and he is not doing his part. If he made this interview before EtH he would probably be called a hero, but now it’s just embarrassing.
This is potentially that big interview scheduled during the end of the transfer window but he had to stay so postponed it?

Dont hold your breath. No top team will take him. So no monetary benefiits for United. He will transfer for free anyway.
I don't think it's possible that he plays well. I can't imagine him having a good game, I really can't.
I can see him getting frustrated and causing friction in the squad due to "chances not being created".

Nah, Ronaldo for me and others was great last season bar a 5 or 6 game spell.
Anyway, he should have been moved on last summer and certainly in January now after this.

Nah, you feck off.

Man's a legend, ignore this nonsense his pride is hurting
Nah, Ronaldo is far from UNITED legend, you can fanboy over him all you want, but he burned bridges with vast majority of United fans. Anyone supporting Ronaldo in all this should seriously just stop watching United and "leave" the club together with him. I am tired of this fanboy shit.

He’s been on the Ronaldo train only because he wanted to get this exclusive interview in the bag… I can’t stand Morgan ever since I watched that BBC documentary that showed him stitching poor Gazza up back in the day. Apparently he has quite a knack for writing headlines about footballers when they are not at their most stable.

I maybe missed it but how did the club lack empathy for him? He was the one who decided to come back so soon after he lost his child, the club didn't force him. And in the summer he wasn't at the pre-season due to a family emergency, which also coincided with him going to a local club to train whilst his agent tried to flog him to the highest/any bidder.

So where exactly is the lack of empathy stuff coming from?

Biggest fan of the guy but the last few months have been strange to say the least.

This quote from Perez is funny now somehow

I reckon last week.
It’s bizarre what he’s said about EtH if so.

It seems EtH hasn’t felt there’s been a problem, and even made him captain last weekend and continued to select him. Even his comments to the media have been positive and respectful.

Yet all along this is brewing inside Ronaldo.

Really bipolar.

Honestly, of course we only have quotes from a 90 min interview, but seriously — could there be anything less interesting than this interview?

What do we have here?
-A mega star and legend in steep decline
-He has an issue with a coach who doesn’t think he is good enough to start
-The Rooney quote is nothing, bantering
-Nobody wants Ronaldo, of course he is tilting, he is like the biggest ego ever, helped him at the top, of course not the best trait when you at most would be a sub for a strong team
-Carrington hasn’t been renovated
-He doesn’t respect Ten Hag? And, at least that is honest. Like of course he doesn’t. His ego doesn’t work like that. ETH clearly prefers Martial and Rashford. Ronaldo doesn’t say that he thinks ETH is a clueless coach or anything. He doesn’t respect him, period.

Like honestly, what of the above is news?

What of the above surprises anyone?

Punish him again. Cut his wages, drop him from the next 10 games. And if he does it again, punish him again.
There is no way back for him at United after this. It is also a sackable offense giving this interview, so I guess his contract will be terminated. He’ll go down in historie as one of the most unlikable egomaniacs in football.

One thing I do appreciate, is that he waited to do this until after our last game before the WC. If he HAD to do this video, then this is the best time he could possibly have released it.

He claims he never wanted to leave, the club is forcing him out yet at the end he says he has to play Champions League so I can take that ideally he would've liked to have stayed had we got top 4 but we didn't so he tried to leave, there were no takers. United seem to have accommodated and played fair with him all this time.

I was hoping both he and the club could've terminated the contract mutually so he can become a free agent and do whatever it takes to get a CL club. When we didn't get top 4 I thought Ronaldo is gone, he should've gone even if that meant him asking for less wages. He had to find his market value at a second tier CL club. To add to his CL goal tally he should've been prepared to play for 75k if needed and forget about his 500k here in Europa, it should've been goodbye.

get Rio and Keane on TV asap to explain this…
"Ronnie's right. Ten Hag has disrespected a legend and top 3 striker in the league. I've always liked Pochettino better than this Dutch guy with no PL experience".
