The Caf's Roy Keane.
Di Maria vibesVery good. His wife hated England though and he decided to leave.

It's a good move for Arsenal tbh. Any reinforcement of feasible quality should be made considering there's a league title at hand.Looks like Arsenal might sign a dusted Jorginho to help give you some money towards FFP.
So what's the story with that? Surely if we can't spend with new rich owners then no one can? I mean we are still one of the most revenue rich teams in the world. This is smart by Chelsea because, from what I read, they (or us for that matter, regardless of ownership) won’t be able to spend much in the summer due to the new FFP rules.
Easy to say in hindsightI'd say they're getting a better bang for their buck than we did
Well if Partey is out, its Jorginho and Xhaka. I'm sure you just described the Anti Xhaka there! As long as you want to play slow and can cover his defensive liabilities like Kante did, he has some tread left on his tires. A move in London is probably the easiest for him.
Yes but let's face it, we knew some of the players we bought were never gonna workEasy to say in hindsight
Come on bro, you're languishing 10th in the league, out of both domestic competitions - to claim you have the best CB in the country is a bit richName one better? VVD has gone off the boil for a while now.
Forus it’s a good move for Arsenal a terrible moveIt's a good move for Arsenal tbh. Any reinforcement of feasible quality should be made considering there's a league title at hand.
How much of that would you say is down to Thiago Silvas poor performances?Come on bro, you're languishing 10th in the league, out of both domestic competitions - to claim you have the best CB in the country is a bit rich
when Harry M signed a 7 year deal was that finding a loop hole? There’s nothing to see here it’s quite simply in line with the rulesChelsea are just rushing the process. The mass inclusion of a squad worth of players to not allow the transition to take time. The only risk I can associate is if some of the signings fail and with the new rules it will perhaps take them longer to get suitable replacements.
I don't think they are as bad for instance as PSG who inflated the market with Mbappe / Neymar they are using a loophole to speed up a rebuild.
Maybe because Chelsea are flushing cash at an astonishing rate?So chelsea are looking to sign one the best young midfielders in Europe for 120 million and at the same time trying to move on jorginho and gallagher for a coming 70-75 million to help cover the fee.
Why can't we have this type of ruthless ambition with bringing in rising stars and and selling off average players instead of giving players like mctominay, fred, bissaka, sancho and martial chance after chance which has failed to do us any favours

I think they've brought forward some of their summer plans in order to spread the cost over the ridiculous contract lengths before UEFA's FFP rule changes state that fees must be paid within 5 years. Mudryk's £100m fee is being amortised across the 9 year contract. How can Chelsea spend like this?
Maybe but the players they are signing all seem to be very young players and the likely hood is if any of these players fail to live up to the hype within a season or two chelsea won't hesitate to be ruthless and move them on whilst they are still at a very young age and can fetch a good fee compared to us still happy to make do with mctominay and Fred at our club as midfield options for 5 seasons and countingMaybe because Chelsea are flushing cash at an astonishing rate?
It’s all to do with taxPaying over the release clause is the most Todd Boehley thing I've heard since his championing of the cutting edge 4-4-3 formation.
Mudryk’s fee, even with all add ons achieved, will never touch £100m. Up front fee is around £62m plus £25m tied to winning the title and CL. Your overall point is right though.I think they've brought forward some of their summer plans in order to spread the cost over the ridiculous contract lengths before UEFA's FFP rule changes state that fees must be paid within 5 years. Amortisation and paying a fee aren’t the sameI think they've brought forward some of their summer plans in order to spread the cost over the ridiculous contract lengths before UEFA's FFP rule changes state that fees must be paid within 5 years. Granted I don't see every Chelsea match, I'd say a fair bit. The match against Brighton sticks out as he was having a stinker - poor in the buildup, poor in marking etc. Did not scream best defender in the league in the losses to City, Arsenal, Fulham etc eitherHow much of that would you say is down to Thiago Silvas poor performances?
Lots and lots of money. United have never struggled to sign players with or without Champion's League, arguably our most high profile signings happened when we didn't have Champion's League football. Why are these players attracted to Chelsea so much? When we were in a shitty position and out of the CL with a poor manager, we struggled to sign players more often than not.
Mate I don't disagree that it's a bit OTT to call Silva the best CB in the league but you couldn't be more wrong here. We'd have conceded twice as many goals without him.Granted I don't see every Chelsea match, I'd say a fair bit. What's tax got to do with it? I'm loving all the justifications Chelsea fans are on a mission to dish out at the moment. It’s all to do with tax
We had quite a few (public) no's in the past years. Yes we signed some players too but it just feels crazy how Chelsea can attract them and yet no one speaks negatively.Lots and lots of money. It was reported that if Chelsea trigger the release clause there is £40m tax that goes along with it and Chelsea will have foot the bill for that too. Can’t remember where it was reported though. Portuguese media probably. What's tax got to do with it? I'm loving all the justifications Chelsea fans are on a mission to dish out at the moment.
It's not just tax. It seems Enzo has a buyout clause in his deal but not a release clause, which means if we want to trigger it the entire fee gets counted in this period and doesn't get amortised. This would make it more or less impossible to comply with FFP. Additionally, the tax burden for triggering such a clause is higher - so by paying a larger fee than the clause, it allows for us to be FFP-compliant since Enzo is signing an 8.5 year deal. What's tax got to do with it? it's been debunked that because of this clubs have a gentlemen's agreement to accept a euro under that amount, so it's not legally triggering the buy out clause. Chelsea's issue is they don't want to spend that huge whack up front (not due to having to pay the tax), so seem to be offering more than the buy out amount in instalments to make up for the loss of interest Benfica would make on the money if the 120m was paid in one lump.It was reported that if Chelsea trigger the release clause there is £40m tax that goes along with it and Chelsea will have foot the bill for that too. Oh okay I didn’t now that. I guess what’s a couple of extra millions between friends when over £100m is changing handsit's been debunked that because of this clubs have a gentlemen's agreement to accept a euro under that amount, so it's not legally triggering the buy out clause. They aren't exactly going for the Ronaldos and Messis of the world, these younger players at smaller clubs will rarely turn down offers like the ones they've been getting. We had quite a few (public) no's in the past years. Yes we signed some players too but it just feels crazy how Chelsea can attract them and yet no one speaks negatively.
Our track record with players in thier prime has been more bust than boom. I like the idea of going after young players with loads of potential, it has been our best history. The prices the last three years has been seriously crazy, but it has been crazy for everyone....we may pay a little more recently. They aren't exactly going for the Ronaldos and Messis of the world, these younger players at smaller clubs will rarely turn down offers like the ones they've been getting.
But you know we are always thrive in chaos in that sense we are unique club.Wow Chelsea are almost spending as stupidly as we did under Woodward. You can’t rush the process.
£100 million? Eh? Hold the bus here. I've seen Gallagher's fee as being £40M+5, there's no way Chelsea can get £30M from a 31 year old Jorginho with 6 months left on his contact! So chelsea are looking to sign one the best young midfielders in Europe for 120 million and at the same time trying to move on jorginho and gallagher for a coming 70-75 million to help cover the fee.
