I asked chat GPT to write me a man United poem and this is what they came up with:

Man United, the pride of Manchester town,
A team of legends who wear the crown,
Their history rich, their victories plenty,
Their fans, from all around, they're known aplenty.

From the days of Busby, to the reign of Fergie,
Their prowess on the field, never got blurry,
The likes of Best, Law, and Charlton,
Led the charge, to victories undone.

Their players now, a force to be reckoned,
Martial, Rashford, and Bruno, weapons sharpened,
Defenders like Maguire, Wan-Bissaka and Lindelof,
Keeps adversaries at bay, never letting off.

Their fans, a collective spirit,
Their passion, unmatched, they wear it,
Their voices loud, their chants never ending,
United we stand, on this we're depending.

So let us cheer, for the Red Devils,
Their spirit unrivaled, their passion, unfathomable,
Their legacy, forever enshrined,
Man United, the conquerors of time.

Wordsworth need not fret methinks. :D Also a bit harsh calling Martial, Rashford and Bruno ‘weapons’ sharpened or not. And surely if that’s the case then Martial is most definitely a blunt weapon :D

In the heart of England's landscape green,
Lies a fortress, a stage, where legends convene,
A team of great stature, of strength and might,
Manchester United, in red and white.

Upon this canvas, history painted,
With passion and pride, souls untainted,
The theatre of dreams, a hallowed ground,
Where the songs of victory forever resound.

A tale of triumph, of tears and sweat,
A tale of a hero, we'll never forget,
A lad named Rashford, swift as the breeze,
Dancing on the pitch, defenders to tease.

Born in the cradle of Manchester's womb,
A beacon of hope, in darkness he bloomed,
From Fletcher Moss Rangers, a talent arose,
To Old Trafford's echelons, his journey goes.

A debut to cherish, on a cold winter night,
A star was unveiled, shining so bright,
His name etched in history, forever to last,
Rashford had arrived, an icon steadfast.

With courage and conviction, his heart ablaze,
He conquered the field, in a dazzling craze,
Scoring goals aplenty, in the famous red,
A hero of Manchester, as the legends had said.

A voice for the voiceless, beyond the pitch,
A champion for change, with an unwavering itch,
To aid the hungry, the helpless, the poor,
Rashford's legacy, a testament pure.

Manchester United, a club of renown,
With Rashford's spirit, they'll never back down,
In the annals of time, their story will be,
A tale of glory, for all to see.

Old Trafford stands tall,
Where Sir Alex Ferguson reigned,
Legends born and raised.

There is a thread,
which knocks me dead
About the sale of the club
It's beyond a joke
And full of folk
Who are utterly fecking clueless

De Jong and Kane, a summer tale,
Rumors swirl of a funny sale,
One for the money, two for the show,
We don't really care,
So long as the glazers go.

Touched by the Glazers, with Woodward at helm,
Phil Jones got a new contract in this bloody realm.
Through Moyes and through Ole that kept us abduct
Yet we're still the greatest and Scousers get fecked.

We’re Man Utd, we do as we please,
Other fans think, we bribe Referees.
We’re not the team, who lose the rag,
We’re glad we have got, Erik ten Hag.

Irwell joins the Mersey
A ticking clock
Down below Stickings Lock
Everton looks different downstream
There has never been a day
When the water flowed the other way
Two glum cities, divided
Shoulder a rainy sky
In each, one team wears red, another blue

In the ghost places, woven laces
Flow through heavy leather
Neck muscles quiver.
Van Persie had an inner child
He just wanted to be asked
But Guardiola missed his cue
Then Julia Roberts passed him by
Though he felt like a gift to womankind
There is something in his eyes these days
Something missing, out of place
Something he can't fix
A melting history
Written in air, in invisible ink.
A blank page with an asterix.

Duncan of the brawny arms
Is forever promising
In black and white
A grey red shirt
With big blocky numbers
Football is a winter game
Some things, we hope
Will never change

Here's my contribution (Michael Jackson.. Beat It)

They told him, "Utd needs to have a brand new start"
"Bring back the glory days and ignite our fans' hearts"
He took the challenge on and he looks the feckin' the part
United are revived, we believe it

Signed future legends; Casemiro n' Martinez
Leaders on the field, the opposition's getting wrecked
Skill and strength combined so Pep you can get fecked
United on the rise and we're dreaming

Win it (win it), win it (win it)
Next season we're going undefeated
Check out our tactics, passionate team play
It doesn't matter, home or away
We'll win it (win it)
We'll win it (win it)
We'll win it (win it)
We'll win it (win it)

He's changed our game already, we're in a 'treble' chase
We're on the rise now and next season: title race
23/24 going forward: Ten Hag Ball
You can feel it

24/25 we're Champions once again
Ten Hag'll never walk away, he's here to stay
We're back where we belong and we love our rivals pain
Best believe it

Win it (win it), win it (win it)
Next season we're going undefeated
Check out our tactics, passionate team play
It doesn't matter, home or away
We'll win it (win it)
We'll win it (win it)
We'll win it (win it)
We'll win it (win it)

"Unequivocally our love was fate.

I fell in love with you at first sight. I remember because I was as high as a kite.

Those beautiful eyes, made me shiver.

I’m not gonna lie, I think of you, I dream of you. Can’t help thinking, pulling you was my greatest ever coo.

That stomach, those abs, those pictures you sent.

So I can keep tabs on you, makes me feel funny down there. Especially when you are there and you look up and stare.

Im beginning to think you are always right. That’s okay it will keep us tight

I’m gonna end by saying you are my love, my friend, my soul.

And most of all you believe in me. Which makes me feel as hard as a totem pole. Xxxxxxxx

There once was a team from Manchester.
Whose player was a bit of a molester.
A video came out
He lost all his clout
And soon he'll be as relevant as uncle fester.

I like my chat gpt poem best

n the heart of the city of Manchester, There stands a team with a storied past, A club that's known across the land, For its talent, passion, and steadfast.

Manchester United, the Red Devils they're called, With a history that's second to none, From Busby's Babes to Fergie's reign, Their victories have left fans undone.

The Theatre of Dreams is their home, Where legends have played their part, From Best, Charlton, and Law, To Beckham, Scholes, and Giggs, who stole hearts.

The roar of the crowd, the chants in the stands, The memories that never fade, The joy and tears of triumph and defeat, The spirit that the team has displayed.

From the treble in '99 to the league titles since, The club has remained a force to be reckoned with, Their legacy will always be revered, For they are the pride of Manchester.

So here's to the Red Devils and their fans, Who carry the torch through thick and thin, For Manchester United will always be, A symbol of strength and the will to win

It doesn’t really matter who bakes,
Shawberto will eat all the cakes.

He will also down all the shakes,
That’s what so great of him makes.

Of Erik there’s many hot takes,
The Caf is full of these fakes.

Even if I was hit by earthquakes,
I’d say no to those Qatari sheikhs.

Shouting from the bottom of lakes,
I hate these international breaks.

There is a team called United
Who used to get me excited
When the genius Fergie left
It left me feeling so bereft
Now Ten hag has me delighted

If a celebrated youth
Makes some terrible mistakes;
High on ego, power and attention;
If they lose their way
And roll clean off the rails, and
Hurt everyone who sees their potential -
Can they be forgiven?
Is there a rainbow arc of redemption
Or just an indelible stain?
Just sayin’.

In the stands they stood and cheered, As Cantona's kick flew near, Crystal Palace fan, oh so near, Was met with a strike so clear.

The crowd erupted with delight, As the player stood in spite, Of those who dared to cross his path, And bring his team to any wrath.

His talent on the field was great, But his temper often sealed his fate, He acted on a moment's whim, And left the crowd to revel in.

The violence, though, was not condoned, And Cantona was soon disowned, By those who once had praised his name, For shame had left him with no fame.

But in that moment, in the heat, The crowd forgot all else to greet, And cheered on Cantona's feet, As he brought the fan to his defeat.
