What figure do you think is meeting in the middle"Tomi, why are you wearing a green Tazos shirt?"
"I dunno lets get out of here, Moyesey fancies us"

After Casemiro was bedded in he basically never played for us in the league barring the replacement starts during the suspension, and he rarely played otherwise in any other different role. But yes I misworded my post, I more meant he isn't relied upon as an active contributor past "depth" in a position where we literally have no other options past our starter.'Hardly featured'
He featured in every game he was fit for barring 3.....
I think you're confused, maybe because he didn't feature much towards the end of the season because he missed around 6 weeks through injury and only came off the bench for the final minutes in the last 3 games.
I mean we've turned down several offers at this point though, this isn't me or anyone else getting pissy because we rejected a 10m bid. Turning down 60m for the pair in the hopes we get 70m, when the actual effect it will have on our club/business is negligible.I agree there is a big difference. I’ve not suggested we play hard ball. To openly play your hand and not try to get more than the first offer is poor bargaining strategy to me. Unless they’ve openly discussed the value of a player and then refused it then I don’t get the reactions.
Actually I do as people would like to get rid of them at any cost because it those players specifically but to me it doesn’t matter. Get the most you can regardless. If they say it’s now or nothing maybe, but sure football negotiations differ fundamentally.
For me Maguires time is over and he should move on but as mush as Scott has his faults, I think he may still contribute and the manager does rate him. If he is sold so be it, we all want the team to improve.
I will admit it's risky but noises from tier 1 Utd sources suggest they are still interestedI mean we've turned down several offers at this point though, this isn't me or anyone else getting pissy because we rejected a 10m bid. Maybe we should go after Andre to supplement midfield if scousers don't want himNo chance of us getting Lavia, cuz too much money and we already have a youngster in mainoo who will need minutes. But I really really like him.
No idea at all. None would be cheap for us most likely. I prefer promoting Hannibal. What sort of stopgap have you got in mind
I haven't seen enough to really say (though Amrabat looked quite comfortable - if unambitious - on the ball against West Ham in that final) but yeah, profile-wise (young french mobile CB and the starting DM for a UEFA level team in Serie A and World Cup Semi-finalist in his prime but not the kind of player who is so highly rated he won't be okay as 2nd choice to Casemiro)So Todibo & Amrabat will do nicely then
Because he was injured.I don't get how anyone would believe he rates McTominay! He rarely used him in the second half of the season with Fred being ahead of him. Once we get a decent fee Scott will go.
Or let Mainoo have a chance of breaking into the first team.No idea at all. None would be cheap for us most likely. I prefer promoting Hannibal.
Fred was exclusively used higher up the pitch when Eriksen was out, and McTominay was used exclusively deeper when Casemiro was out.I don't get how anyone would believe he rates McTominay! Yeah it seems as though West Ham/Moyes are infatuated with the pair. Hopefully this gets done soon so we can move on and get Amrabat/Todibo in without too much fussI will admit it's risky but noises from tier 1 Utd sources suggest they are still interested
Mainoo has already be part of the first team squad and will definitely play his part. Really looking forward to it. Well, he needs to fully recover first.Or let Mainoo have a chance of breaking into the first team.
People have been saying this for years now. When do people admit he's a poor player who overperformed for a few years at Leicester, and not a good player who's struggling?Maguire is nowhere near as bad as he is currently showing, I would suggest he needs a run of 10 games back-to-back and a change of scenery.
Yes 35 plus addons (bonuses)So is that his way of saying we want £35m plus addons or have I totally misinterpreted
Scott McTominay is a better footballer than Declan Rice.
in what worldScott McTominay is a better footballer than Declan Rice.
I believe that too. Rice is better defensively but I’d rather have Scott with the ball at his feet than Rice.Scott McTominay is a better footballer than Declan Rice.
That's ridiculous and I doubt there are any stats to back that up.I believe that too. Rice is better defensively but I’d rather have Scott with the ball at his feet than Rice.
Yup.I believe that too. Rice is better defensively but I’d rather have Scott with the ball at his feet than Rice.
Scott with the ball at his feet is an abomination. Can barely pass to a teammate.I believe that too. Rice is better defensively but I’d rather have Scott with the ball at his feet than Rice.
The funny thing is his errors are just more easy to spot in a team like United’s who dont sit back a lot. At Leicester (and West ham possibly) he fitted in as his job was to defend a tight space for a team that sat back and cleared the ball a lot. (A City game springs to mind where he looked like Maldini).People have been saying this for years now. When do people admit he's a poor player who overperformed for a few years at Leicester, and not a good player who's struggling?
I agree. Better passer and going forward.Scott McTominay is a better footballer than Declan Rice.
He was a decent player, who got elevated way above his actual level due to some WC performances. He was never good enough for a CL club, but making him captain and the world's most expensive CB, was next level insanity. Someone like Gary Cahill was a far better player, and he himself wasn't an elite level CB.People have been saying this for years now. When do people admit he's a poor player who overperformed for a few years at Leicester, and not a good player who's struggling?
You don’t need stats, use your eyes. Rice is bang average when not in a defensive structure. That's ridiculous and I doubt there are any stats to back that up.
Not sure I said anywhere he was great or even good with the ball at his feet?Scott with the ball at his feet is an abomination. Can barely pass to a teammate.
No, they need more midfielders...Looks like West Ham are closing in on Alvarez. Does this affect the potential McT transfer?
Cool.No, they need more midfielders...
My eyes tell me he's much better on the ball than McTominay and I don't even rate him very highly. You don’t need stats, use your eyes. Rice is bang average when not in a defensive structure.
You don’t have to run to stats for every little point
But your eyes tell you that McTominay is better with the ball at his feet? He's a vastly inferior passer who tends to not get on the ball anywhere near as much, the stats will tell you that but your eyes should also. One thing McTominay does have is he's got a decent shot on him from range plus his other attributes which include being a good athlete. You don’t need stats, use your eyes. Rice is bang average when not in a defensive structure.
You don’t have to run to stats for every little point
Agreed, his best attribute is his engine, should tell you everything you need to know. Not sure how anyone can watch Rice and think he's inferior to Scott.Scott with the ball at his feet is an abomination. Can barely pass to a teammate.
McT is best when he doesn't have any defensive responsibilities. If he is given the freedom to roam up the pitch, he can be a handful.Scott with the ball at his feet is an abomination. Can barely pass to a teammate.
Pretty much.We can get 40 to 45 million for Scotty. Maguire not so much.
Rice has been overvalued, even by standards of today's crazy market, but this is way off. The level this puts Scott at is at least 2, maybe 3 tiers above his actual baseline.Scott McTominay is a better footballer than Declan Rice.
