I think that is only if the player dosnt have match fitness which would apply to Rafael but not Di Maria as he only played last week at Hull. Rojo for example came straight back after 3 weeks out without playing for the reserves.

This is true but the issue is more that our defenders are injury prone. Evans, Jones, Rafael and Smalling are constantly injured. Whereas Shaw seems to be picking injuries aswell now even though he rarely missed a game for Saints last season.

Be great to get Rafael back as Valencia is a very limited footballer. Apart from that i would keep the same side that beat Stoke, just Rooney coming in for Wilson. If we dont let Wanyama bully us we should dominate the midfield and possesion with the likes of Carrick, Herrera and Mata...

This is true but Di Maria will be against Bellerin or Chambers. Whereas Rooney will be up against Monreal at CB. We shall see i guess, but those match ups are the onl things giving me a glimmer of positivity ahead of the match. As i say would definitely take a draw.
