Messi is a lot more than just a "great scorer". If you actually watch him play you'll see how good his overall performances are. Also there may be players who have better games than Ronaldo and Messi each week but I doubt those players consistently deliver a good/great performance every match...

I don't think people rate Ronaldo and Messi based on their goals only. It's their overall play too that makes people call them the best players on the world, and that's what people are judging players on in the world cup too.

Robben has been the best player of the world cup so far without a doubt, not Neymar, Messi or anyone else.
