Casemiro, Amrabat and Hannibal- that would be a gritty but technically gifted midfield trio. Worth a shot as we seem to be carrying players at the moment.

He looks like he could be good but his teammates seem to ignore him. I suspect he’s not a favourite in the dressing room and so nobody wants to pass to him.

I haven’t really seen this kid much… he’s very like the ginger prince. It’s the nonchalance with which he plays. “Another 60y pass” “Another spin out of a challenge”… and always head down afterwards.

At 6’4” with speed, strength and a few goals this year as a striker, he seems like a decent back up/challenger.

So we let one of the greatest strikers ever to leave as he didn’t fit our style. Essentially, he wasn’t “active” enough. Then we sign Morata? Surely not.

I didn’t see the full game but watching Mainoo’s “every touch” video is impressive. He seems to be able to slow down and speed up play at will. Already looks very much in control.

I didn’t realise how slow he is until I saw Ben Brereton Diaz absolutely skin him!

Sancho will work out. It’s clear that he is supremely talented just needs equally talented, hungry players around him. I’m not a huge fan of Lindelof in terms of his lack of pace, strength and aggression… that’s just poor scouting. Both have resale value and Sancho has the potential to be immense.

I’m the same- not really overly excited. We are like the MLS- Players that are just over their peak coming for a final payday. Bring back the days of signing younger players on the rise.

Everyone is entitled to defend themselves regardless of who they are. That guy was clearly acting in a threatening manner (he was around 6 inches from Viera’s face!). Viera was well within his rights. All he did was give him a little kick away- it’s not like he punched him in the face.

Unlikely, at least Telles has some history of doing it. Dalot just flatters to deceive.

I can only comment on the 2 Shakhtar games and he looked energetic and held his position well. His ball control was a bit dodgy and the ball bounced off him a few times (a bit like Fred) but he was ok. Didn’t stand out really- but that may be due to my tactical ignorance.

Would love to see Rice and Kessie together in our midfield.
