  1. Who replaces Ten Hag?

If memory serves, wasn’t Mount playing his best under Tuchel and was quite young I think. He played a 22 yr old Pulisic until he didn’t. Reece James, Hudson Odoi, etc. I think to me, he’s the ultimate pragmatist, which I think we may need, frankly. There is a couple of lazy, shitty takes that...
  2. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Sorry, foot. He’s missed a total of 265 days and 48 matches since arriving, with 4 injuries. How is that in any way reliable? Just because you want him to be durable doesn’t mean he is and bringing in new CBs is a smart move.
  3. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Hasn’t he injured his ankle , then reinjured it? Dicey… Are you comfortable going into next season with Martinez as your first choice CB? I’m not and it’s poor squad management if we do…
  4. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

All good points. We agree on one thing: we need 2 CBs. I’m not stoked on Kambawala being our 5th CB tbh. Probably needs a loan.
  5. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Me too, but does he want to stay? :(
  6. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Thanks. Both Varane and Licha are injury prone, and Varane is leaving. Evans is leaving. I believe we need 5 CBs. If we buy 2, that gives us 5. If we sell one of Maguire / Lindelof, only 4 and Licha is always injured. Would rather keep them both around, otherwise we are potentially in crisis...
  7. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

You need at least 5 CBs. Varane is gone, Licha is always injured. Evans is gone. Maguire and Lindelof need to be kept because we can’t possibly buy 4 CBs in 1 window. I agree they aren’t good enough, but we need to keep them around for transitional purposes.
  8. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Here’s the thing though… obviously your new manager may be able to salvage Sancho and Rashford or whatever, but the point still remains… as long as those players are in your first team squad, there is an opportunity cost issue. They are taking a spot of a player that could be good enough to help...
  9. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

No. “It’s not possible to move that many players in a window” questions aside, we probably will need to move those players, either on loan or by selling. It may take a few transfer windows, but it needs to be done.
  10. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

I really thought the Ten Hag apologists would have retreated a bit after the last few matches, but I guess when people should fold their hand, they are more likely to double down. I actually just feel bad for Ten Hag now. The injuries have been significant, but the lack of depth is partially...
  11. Who replaces Ten Hag?

I rate Tuchel as well. He took PSG to a CL final, right? He is an excellent cup manager and is brilliant at pre-match prep and tactical adjustments. If I have one complaint it’s that he tends to sour on players and plays favorites a bit. A little like Jose in that sense, he likes players that...
  12. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

He’s definitely beginning to crack. Sad to watch frankly. I wanted him to succeed so badly.
  13. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Weird comments in the post match presser… we must “defend our position in the league”. Is he saying we need to hold on to 7th or try to jump up the table to 4th???
  14. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

I think you go with a formation change and possibly and extra CB. At 3-0 you just need to see the match out

    Xavi?
