Wondering a bit about the Liverpool decision to pull Salah in the 77th minute, he certainly faded a bit in the second, I was wondering if this might be because he couldn't take on any fluids or food after sunrise due to fasting. It's certainly...
  • Absolutely delighted with him versus Liverpool, he's maturing really quickly and looks like he's going to be better than Rice in pretty short order and hasn't cost a penny. Hope he's nowhere near the Euros over the summer, want him sitting at...
  • We're going to need to be really up for this, they're not a bad team, remember we're only a penalty away from being in the premier league this season. Showed real character too to win at Wolves. No reason why we don't get it over the line though...
  • Didn't get injured, got some minutes in a high stress environment. He's an extra option in the last period of the season.
  • Depends if EtH feels like rolling the dice with Mason Mount. More likely if Rasmus is fit then we’ll see Scott playing in a deeper position that he’s entirely unsuited for.

End of last season from a similar position that we're in now Liverpool went on a great run with 8 wins and 2 draws from the last 10 league matches, they still fell short of the CL. It's difficult to see us going on a similar run, and even if we...
  • I'm optimistic we'll hit +12. We've got a few games that might be comfortable

First time really watching him yesterday. I quite liked what I saw and think we should consider moving for him if we can move on Maguire. Reminded me of a pre-injury Phil Jones a bit.
  • I think you need to ask, has a club ever done this under present FFP / PSR rules ? Staying within the 105m loss threshold is going to be the limiting factor in it all. We probably need to sell at least Sancho and Greenwood before we can buy in a...

I think that's our only hope at this point, yeah.
  • Agreed, but in the context that it was a very poor Everton team that hasn't won in 11 league matches. We absolutely should be comfortably beating teams like this at home as the minimum acceptable standard.
  • foolsgold replied to the thread Mason Mount's Misfortune.
I heard he died over the summer and the club are covering it up.
  • You’ve missed out a major source of revenue, ticket sales. A game at OT earns the club 3.25m in direct sales. If we were to go deep, that’s an extra 20m, it’s important for meeting FFP numbers.
  • We need the money that the competition would bring. We can’t turn our nose up at anything. Every match we play to win, plus it has a Europa League spot for the following season.
  • I really wanted it to work but it hasn’t, aside from the transfer fee we’ve paid Donny north of 30m it’s never going to work and Mason Mount is probably headed in the same direction.
