I agree. When I say that Lindelöf is a good defender, I am thinking that his level fits a club in the middle of the tabel. That means that he is useful for us because our team not is a top team right now, but we have to replace him with a better...
Lindelöf is a good defender, but if we want United to come back to old standards, then "good" is not good enough. We need some of the best defenders possible, and Lindelöf is no where near that level.
Selling Fred was only a mistake because we have not bought a good player in that position yet. It was time for Fred to move on, but we should have done better replacing him. But as the squad is now, he would be playing every time.
3 best players yesterday:
1).......
2)......
3)......
3 worst players yesterday:
1) Casemiro
2) Mount
3) Mainoo
But many players could have been placed among the "3 worst". For example, Antony and Garnacho were completely gone. It is...
He has been good. And he is one of the few United players who have been good. Mainoo had a good period. Højlund had a good period (before the injury) and Garnacho has had a good period. But Maguire has been the only stable United player.
I don't want that either. But to be honest, it makes no difference who plays that game for us. We will never be able to win. "Can United score"? "No, only very rarely".
No will, no spirit, no quality in the players. There are many players too old for this level: Eriksen, Evans and Casemiro are all done. Eriksen and Evans tried, while Casemiro seemed totally unconcerned.
