  1. Schalke watch

Only reason they got that goalless draw in Dortmund was Neuer, who had one of his best games ever. Mainz are very much living off their start, where they got 21 points from their first seven games.
  2. Schalke watch

Word on the weekend was "2 weeks". And that´s quoting the guy himself. His goalless run (think he last scored in October) was a big topic here before the injury. Wouldn´t actually say they are a "new" team with Rangnick. They´ve been up for it in cup competitions all season and they do look...
  3. New Bayern Manager

I´d argue being 4th and only 2 points off second place (and 5 off first) is a miracle when you consider where we were in December.
  4. New Bayern Manager

Care to explain how the Dutchies are taking over German football? I count one Dutch manager in the BL and one in BL2 ... using your logic, the Scots have taken over English football completely as 3 PL clubs are currently being managed by Scots. :)
  5. Hleb out of Arsenal

I believe the same message was on the Arsenal website when you confirmed the transfer, but everything I´ve read in the papers, saw in our financial report and have been told by people who know a wee bit more that´s made official, leads me to believe that 15m € is the fee you paid. Maybe slightly...
  6. Hleb out of Arsenal

I was fairly surprised when he I saw that he got married to a popstar but I don´t know how much influence she has on him. What I do know tho is that he hated the London life during his first season at the very least and still thinks his home is here in Stuttgart. Sounds a whole lot like the...
  7. College Football & NFL thread 2007/8

Finally someone is talking sense. The Oklahoma trolls piss me off with their AD campaign. Go Buffs!
  8. College Football & NFL thread 2007/8

    You mean like last season?
  9. ALL the Hargreaves stuff HERE

United should just stop wasting their time and come back in the summer. They´re running out of midfielders in Munich, so the last thing they´re gonna do is sell one of the remaining 3 decent ones they have left. Especially as it´s almost impossible to find a decent replacement in January.
  10. Klinsmann says NO

It fell through for 2 reasons a) Klinsmann wanted to name the coaching staff himself. b) He wanted the guarantee to have all players available for all games, which is a common thing here, but apparently some MLS clubs disagree.
  11. Klinsmann says NO

As I said yesterday, this whole thing wasn´t about money, but rather Klinsmann demanding more power than the USSF were willing to give him. He only does jobs when he feels everything is right for him and he certainly learned his lesson here with the Germany job, where he was basically only...
  12. Klinsmann says NO

He isn´t ...he´s a great motivator and Löw is just continuing the work he started. Klinsmann was very important as he started doing things the unusual way and he had the pedigree to push his ideas through. Klinsmann kicked in the walls for him and he´s continuing from where he left off.
  13. Klinsmann says NO

Still think he could take a job as an advisor of some sorts ... he´s always been a strange guy .... never saw out a contract as a player and rarely played for the same club for more than 3 years
  14. Klinsmann says NO

... to the Yanks. Agencies are reporting it ... a US Soccer spokesman apparently announced it. http://www.bild.t-online.de/BTO/news/telegramm/Newsticker,rendertext=1117782.html
  15. Van Nistelrooy

Thats not the main point of the article. Bild as a paper is rubbish, but the sports section is essential reading as they do have some very, very good sources and they´ve quiten often reported exclusives well before others reported it. It´s in the Kicker as well, btw.
