    Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting or trying to justify the fees in anyway. Just stating that a lot of the elite clubs pay their coaches pretty high wages to be involved. For me, the US should be mining every possible place for talent and they just aren't because of the pay-to-play model...

    A lot of the clubs hire former professionals as coaches so the fees figure in salary for the club coaches. It a very lucrative job for a lot of these retired/never quite made it professionals. Some of them make close to $100k /yr to coach at some of the really top tier youth clubs.

    He also rarely runs in behind like Rashford so playing centrally may be Martial's best position at Utd. Like others have said, might as well try it and if that can't get him to break through, then it's pretty obvious he's not going to ever be the player everyone hoped he'd be.
