  1. Evan Ferguson

I don't understand why this lad is so highly rated. Yes, he might be talented but folks are talking as if he'll cost 250m or something in that range. For strikers, GOALS is what speaks volumes.
  2. Romeo Lavia | Chelsea bound?

A good season for me is a very comfortable top 4 finish (say 3rd but just under City-Arsenal by a hair) and a cup. Next season we can go full steam ahead with the challenge.
  3. Romeo Lavia | Chelsea bound?

Honestly, Real seem to be set up in midfield for the next 5-7 years with Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde and of course Bellingham. And they still have Kroos and Modric. Barca would have to actually find the money to afford that. This is where the very long contract Enzo is on comes to play.
  4. Moises Caicedo | Chelsea agree £115M fee | signed for Chelsea

Except almost every new contract that has been given to players under Boehly has a low/reasonable base with performance/success related bonuses/pay rises added on to it. So say a player starts off at 130k/week, if they score 20 goals in a season, it goes up to 170k/week. If they win the league...
  5. Moises Caicedo | Chelsea agree £115M fee | signed for Chelsea

To be fair, I imagine a decent portion of that fee is tied to add-ons but we'd be happy to pay them since it would mean success.
  6. Moises Caicedo | Chelsea agree £115M fee | signed for Chelsea

Mostly just Liverpool fans who were in denial. The guy has pretty solid sources across most major leagues. It's actually very impressive.
  7. Moises Caicedo | Chelsea agree £115M fee | signed for Chelsea

The same midfield that has Kamavinga, Bellingham, Tchouameni and co? I highly doubt that but okay.
  8. Chelsea 2018/19 - 3rd and European Champions. Sarri, not sorry

Uhhh I can give you few things; Ceballos, Llorente, Modric, Kroos, Casemiro and now possibly Thiago. Also, Madrid 'not rating' a player doesn't mean anything. Makelele, Sneidjer and Robben weren't rated by Madrid either. Every club has examples of players they misjudged or just couldn't keep...
  9. Chelsea 2018/19 - 3rd and European Champions. Sarri, not sorry

They didn't stop an unhappy wantaway Ronaldo from leaving and you think they're going to stop Kovacic from leaving? Especially when they know there are hundreds of other players out there who could replace him that are dying to wear the Madrid shirt? They're not going to stop him from leaving...
  10. Chelsea 2018/19 - 3rd and European Champions. Sarri, not sorry

Whether there's an option to buy or not, he's not going back to Madrid, hence the strong links to Thiago over the past few days.
  11. Chelsea 2018/19 - 3rd and European Champions. Sarri, not sorry

There's probably an option to buy that either hasn't been announced yet or is a gentleman's agreement. He's definitely not going back to Madrid. I think Kepa is definitely starting. He's been training with Bilbao for 3 weeks+ now. Strongly doubt Kovacic will start though he missed a lot of...
  12. Chelsea 2018/19 - 3rd and European Champions. Sarri, not sorry

Emerson will bench him soon. I'd honestly have kept Jay Da Silva and shipped Alonso out tbh but Marina isn't a DOF so I can't be hoping for too much. Think Luiz will also be replaced by Christensen soon enough. Just not suited for a back 4.
  13. Chelsea 2018/19 - 3rd and European Champions. Sarri, not sorry

A Fekir/Martial signing would have made it a really good window for me. But maybe Sarri can make something good of Willian and Pedro. We'll see. As for Alonso, there's a reason his back 4 career has seen him play for the likes of Sunderland and Fiorentina. He's a very decent LWB but an average...
  14. Chelsea 2018/19 - 3rd and European Champions. Sarri, not sorry

Being Basque isn't what stopped his move to Madrid. It was Zidane disagreeing with Perez's decision, especially because of Navas. In my opinion, that was just one more reason Zidane made up his mind to leave at the end of the season. For what it's worth, I think Navas has been highly...

That explains your Barkley opinion. Because he's been one of our best performers in preseason. Has looked really good.
