  • Needs to go to the 3-4-1-2 we adopted in the cup game. Liverpool are blocking the wings very well and running past our single pivot at will. We need to pack the centre area and attack down the center.
  • We didn't deserve to lose that, little unlucky you could say, but the flip side is we were incredibly lucky to get out of Brentford with a point on Saturday. Better performance, but all the known issues that have been there all season were...

Well at least we are not boring that's one thing.
  • Fa cup semi 2020 actually.
  • I think ideally I would of pushed the full backs onto the wing backs used the front three to press the CBs and then used Bruno to press the no 6. Basically gone man for man. Then realistically there only option is to go long and if you can hurry...
  • Brentford either play round a press or over a press, they won't try and go through. They generally work it to the keeper to hit the wing backs or hit Toney. Our pressing structure gave them both options that they like with the added bonus of...
  • So you suggesting the 2 8's pick up the CB's and what we leave the 2 deeper CM's unmarked or do the full backs tuck in to pick them up?
  • So if the wide attackers are picking up the the wingbacks, who is picking up the the 3 CB'S and the 2 deeper CM'S?
  • When we come up against a back 5 with wingbacks which players is it that should be picking up the wingbacks?
  • Longshanks replied to the thread What is our problem ?.
Unsustainable shape and tactics. Pressing high and narrow with a low defence, teams just go round our press so easily, than the midfield gets dragged out wide to cover with a low defence opens a chasm of space for teams to play into and build...
  • In comparison to ten hags cup draws, yes Ole had incredibly hard cup draws. ETH has been drawn away once against a fellow PL side for example. Ole played 9 away ties against fellow PL sides in the domestic cups. In the three domestic cup...
  • I praised him after Liverpool for changing our shape and tactics at the end of the game, he got lucky we were still in the game at that point but he made a change and it changed the game. Last night it was obvious we needed to change shape and...
  • How Brentford play isn't rocket science. It's a full press from there forwards/CM's and strikers, with the ball they are either going to use the wing backs to go round your press, or go direct to there big strikers and use there hard working...

Worst iv ever seen us play. Should of lost handsomely. Against a side also ravaged by injuries in dreadful form. We were better when we lost there 4-0 last season.
  • That was horrific, lucky to be all square. The only positive has been some good last ditch defending. Complete re-think needed at half time, I would be making personell changes aswell, but we shall see.
