  1. Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

That is some of the worst defending I've seen in a while. Compare that to how Martial is marked, always with 2 - 3 people on him, you can really tell what kind of state the Bundesliga is in at the minute. Not criticising Sancho obviously, and it's still ridiculous what he's doing. But if he...
  2. Is Lukaku forcing his way into first team consideration when we are back to full strength?

He seems like the only striker we have who gets two goals in a game regularly which is obviously a great trait. Rashford had the purple patch when Ole first arrived, but he still didn't manage to get a brace in that run, which I think is missing from his game. That's due to the parts of striking...
  3. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer | W15 D2 L4

One of the many things I love about what Ole's done is how he's made the club feel unique again. We're not just any other club, we're Utd. The number of times his answer to a question has been "This is Man Utd" or "These are Man Utd players". It just means something special to play for, or...
  4. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer | W15 D2 L4

It felt like the plan for the 2nd half was to ride out the first 20-25 minutes, keep solid, not concede and not really try to score either and then try and grab a goal in the last 15 mins. Smart. Obviously I would have taken a goal earlier in the 2nd half but I do think we would have struggled...
  5. Right back....what are the options (if any)?

Bring Rafael back for a few years until Dalot and Laird are a bit older... :wenger:
  6. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer | W15 D2 L4

I would be so interested in seeing the xG for Fergies time and I have a feeling it would not be that great a lot of the time. The reasons we won so many titles for twenty years wasn't because we dominated games and converted loads of easy chances with high xG. We won titles because we always...
  7. Luke Shaw | 2018/19 Performances

I just checked his age and he's only 23. Not a kid by any means but he's not even in his prime yet, and we're looking at 6 - 7 of his best years ahead. It feels like he's been really focused on his defensive work this season so hopefully we can see a bit more of his attacking side in the future...
  8. Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

I wouldn't mind Fred if he was making an effort to get on the ball, make things happen, but messing up the final ball. The issue is he just doesn't seem to know what to do, and looks like he's getting in the way. He keeps on standing just to the left of Lindelof when he's on the ball and its...
  9. Oppo fan's view on Ole Gunnar Solskjær's appointment?

Good post. For some weird reason I go on RAWK time to time to see what the opinion is there, and I see a lot of posts saying that they hope we do sign Ole on long term as they're convinced he will screw it up. Do you agree? As in, if you put your Liverpool shirt on, wish that Utd fail and fall...
  10. Solskjær press conference vs Palace (A)

I can see Young getting pushed up onto the wing, maybe: De Gea Dalot Smalling Lindelof Shaw Perreira McTominay Pogba Sanchez Lukaku Young I don't see Sanchez getting any joy on the wing against their young right back, who seems a bit of an athlete, so stick Young out on the left with...
  11. Premier League Gameweek 27 fixtures (22nd - 24th Feb 2019)

I don't get all the hate for Burnley, what Sean Dyke has done there is so impressive. Why should every team play amazing attacking football? Yes they play aggressively but not thuggishly. Is it because people are bitter as we've dropped so many points against them in recent years?
  12. Ander Herrera | 2018/19 Performances

Agreed, Fletcher did have just the one season where he was consistently undroppable and that's the one that I remember him by naturally (along with THAT yellow card!). But I'm not sure that means we overate him. Most of us would say he was a level or two below say Scholes/Carrick/Keane etc. I'm...
  13. Ander Herrera | 2018/19 Performances

He really reminded me of peak Fletcher tonight. Maybe it's because Fletcher scored a couple of very similar goals against Chelsea back in the day, but I think they both have a similar way of dominating a midfield. Fletch had more power but Ander has makes up with it with his guile.
  14. David de Gea | 2018/19 Performances

It was a mistake by De Gea for the first goal. You could tell from his reaction to it afterwards, and the way that he tried to come out for the next corner that Alves nearly scored from when it wasn't even remotely on. If he didn't have the goal on his mind then he stays on his line.
  15. Diogo Dalot | 2018/19 Performances

Debatable that he's better than Young going forward, and Di Maria would have ripped him apart. Young wasn't the issue tonight.
