  1. Our away fans

There's a time and a place for booing the team off, last night wasn't it. Defiance was ace to see. I'm also not sure what our response should be if we aren't defiant. A couple of other points I'll repeat from previous threads. - The Glazers essentially had people threatening to attack them and...
  2. Our away fans

I'm sorry but this is nonsense. Nothing wrong with fans showing a bit of defiance.
  3. Do you still watch when we're 3-0 down?

Our away fans are still watching and singing. Fair play to them all. If that was Liverpool fans, they'd have a camera permanently fixed to them.
  4. When Will We Win Next?

    Monday night
  5. Andy Cole - premier league hall of famer

I think even Cole admits now that he should have stayed another couple of years, even as a squad player. He'd improved his game that much that there was an argument he could even play as more of a number 10. The few games he played with Ruud with in 01/02, he still looked really good...
  6. Old Utd Fans, how was it like during 1989/90 season?

Fergie's biggest achievement was almost making it seem normal to finish seasons for 21 years in the top 3 and challenging for a trophy. That just didn't happen to the same extent before that. Even when we had a dodgy period between 2004 and 2006, we still won two trophies and never finished...
  7. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney | Wrexham AFC Watch

It will be extended with big outdoor concerts in mind. I also reckon they want the Wales international matches there.
  8. Old Utd Fans, how was it like during 1989/90 season?

In other news, Margaret Thatcher stepped down the same day. It was the day that the 90s truly began...
  9. Would you rather win the FA cup and keep Ten Hag or lose, sack Ten Hag?

Arsenal can beat us 12 -0 for all I care. The funny thing is Spurs play city on the Wednesday. With the way football works, you just know we'll beat Arsenal and Spurs will beat city.
  10. Would you rather win the FA cup and keep Ten Hag or lose, sack Ten Hag?

There's winning the FA Cup against someone like Palace (still a massive achievement) then there's winning the FA Cup against the divs to stop them potentially winning a second successive double.
  11. Old Utd Fans, how was it like during 1989/90 season?

The increased number of European Cup/Champions League places has changed the perception of what a 'successful' campaign looks like. Pre 97, there wasn't really much difference between finishing 3rd/4th (qualifying for the UEFA Cup was a bigger deal) and much lower down in the table. Teams...
  12. Would you rather win the FA cup and keep Ten Hag or lose, sack Ten Hag?

Van Gaal being booed by a section of United's support after we beat Palace is definitely one of our lowest moments of the last decade.
  13. The fanbase's role in the erosion of standards

My biggest issue with our modern day support is how reactionary it has become. It's interesting that for a long time, former players (Tevez/Ince aside) used to always get amazing receptions at Old Trafford when they returned for new clubs. Even very average players like Poborsky were...
  14. Old Utd Fans, how was it like during 1989/90 season?

Leeds were in the 2nd Division for most of the 80s so I'm not sure what they were all laughing at. Oldham were the same until 89/90 when they had two amazing cup runs and got promoted the year after.
  15. The looming spectre of.....The Conference League

Bring on the Conference League I say, assuming we don't beat city. Would be quit cool to be the first team to win all European trophies and there's the potential for some great away trips. The early rounds would also give us an opportunity to play a few younger players. More importantly, the...
