Of course it never works out anything like you predict, but looking at the remaining fixtures, I’ve gone for five wins and two draws for each of the contenders in the remaining games. Unless there’s a pretty major shift in goal difference, I’d make Arsenal marginal favourites.

We actually have more depth at centre back than any other PL club, when you consider Shaw is as competent there as any of the others. The fact we’re down to one fit player in that position (not for the first time this season), is laughable.

Surely those Liverpool fixtures mentioned in your second paragraph show that they’d still have plenty to do even if the scenario painted at the end of your post comes to fruition?
