A shame we never got a Wilder Joshua or Joshua Fury... They could happen but right now Wilder and Fury both are a little tarnished. If Usyk wins and unify all titles, I think you can't really argue he's a boxing genius : Distinguished amateur, overcame size differences, undefeated pro in all...

That's fair and it would have a big deal regardless. That said, I think the Tyson-Paul exhib will probably be a gentlemanly glorified sparring session. There's not that many total novices being taken on their offers to fight elite pro boxers. Ngannou is a bit of an anomaly and one that wouldn't...

 And they don't do the same amount of sparring. But the poster above you made a good point it's probably ridiculously lax with PED usage. All that said, that Ngannou KO is the most brutal one in a while, just the man being ragdolled. Really goes to show a boxing novice with no adequate...

Give or take three actual pro boxers die every year or so (recently that Japanese boxer) and it barely registers. I wonder if some of the YouTubers will get neurological damage two decades from now.

I'm sure Netflix can have a live broadcast stream that will be up on the main page (with a minute delay or something) that will later stay and work like any other program they feature once the event ended. I don't know they ever did and there's specific challenges (load management and the like)...
  6. Kylian Mbappe

If Kyky was a Banter Hero he'd choose Barca now.
  7. Kylian Mbappe

The mood in Paris is that it's probably done he's leaving. A good summation from a fan : "Arguably the best player we had in our history, but not my favorite."
  8. Kylian Mbappe

Yeah he maybe made his mind and there's really nothing you could say to dissuade him at this point if so. PSG should be grateful they had him for that long. On the pitch he fulfilled more than his end of the bargain, best scorer for the club (by a healthy margin), third best assist total.
  9. Kylian Mbappe

I think some of the legacy arguments get a little lost. In short : How valuable, symbolically, would it be to lead PSG to a CL win and push the club to a new dimension ? To be labeled a transformative player ? Is it more appealing to him than hoping the Real institution where, no matter how much...
  10. Thomas Tuchel | Gone to & from Bayern (In Summer)

Well at least the title edit to "Gone of Bayern" will be seamless.
  11. David Moyes West Ham Manager (Again) | European Champion

Tom Jones. it's not unusual.
  12. How are fans supposed to take Football seriously?

You probably shouldn't really. At the end of the day, it's just a bunch of people chasing a ball following arbitrary rules. It's good for entertainment, bonding, banter, etc but fairly inconsequential. It's fun getting mad about a silly thing, but not actual mad.
  13. AFCON 2023 / 2024

Damn, poor Laurent Blanc will have no idea who to target for transfers now. From what it is worth (anecdotal), I'm reading secondhand accounts that people in Ivory Coast are ashamed and done with that squad even if they can still qualify.
  14. Football films

It's a great film, a very fun escape from German POW camp story with a stellar cast* but football heavy. Not the most realistic depiction but it's hard not to get emotional when Pelé scores that goal under the expert direction and editing of John Huston. Most fun football flick with Shaolin...

Kenshiro «The Amazing Boy» Teraji vs Carlos «CCC» Canizales was a great action fight. It will be forgotten by December but a potential "fight of the year" candidate for how frenetic it was. Teraji already had an hell of a bout in November 2022 against Hiroto Kyoguchi (with an insane round, 5...
