  • Yeah, Enigma was starting from so high of a baseline that adding that extra quality in attack makes him hard to look past here.
  • Only seen a couple games of Gemmell but he played pretty much like a modern attacking fullback in those. It was actually a bit jarring seeing a 60s fullback crossing from the byline.
  • Sjor and Enigma summed it up. Zlatan messed up the best aspects of his team and now several players are in suboptimal roles. Plus Di Livio is still somehow running amok!
  • Yeah I'm fine with the change. I've missed some threads, but that's more from forgetting/not having time to comment. Don't see how voting with no rationale or discussion is a better option.

Sure, this might push me to actually finish these projects when I start them
  • Sjor's 4-2-2-2 is close to perfect. His fullbacks are good going forward, but he also gets width from the likes of Stoichkov and Iniesta in particular as they like to drift out to the flanks. I could see that Bossis-Iniesta-Stoichkov tandem down...
  • In except for the auction part
  • Randomness not so much, luck absolutely
  • I'm too scarred by these recent luck-heavy drafts to even consider an auction.
  • Defenders would be a stretch but I'd give it a try
  • Think Scholes has more quality in certain areas but not sure about the gameplan. Blokhin as a lone striker seems off to me, and I can't buy Garrincha/Hazard/Socrates as part of a team that presses from the front. I'm sort of with Enigma as I'd...
  • I'm still backing and forthing about Owen there - he's got the pace and movement, just not 100% sure about the technique - but my opinion of Carlos is similar to Sjor's and that looks like a bloodbath waiting to happen. Love Skizzo's front six...
  •
  • Yeah I wouldn't describe him as much of an overlapper (very few that I've seen from that era were), but he was someone who liked to get forward and support the attack. Djalma on the other side seemed like a more natural fit for that kind of kind...
  • Yeah, Enigma's dice rolling was too powerful here. Maybe I'm ignorant of him doing it in the past, but I'm not a huge fan of the setup with Silva dropping to CB out of possession. Seems like it would restrict Nilton going forward as well.
