  1. If ten Hag was sacked tonight, who would you have as an interim?

John Askey. I can hardly believe Hartlepool sacked him.
  2. Coventry City vs Manchester United

Because it's hilarious, I often post "Two nil up, nothing can go wrong now" but didn't bother today. Spooky.
  3. Manchester United vs West Ham United

Two nil up. Nothing can go wrong now!
  4. Post match vs Wigan Athletic

That was an embarrassing dive to get the penalty.
  5. If there is slight contact but you massively exaggerate it, should it count as a dive?

This idea that at speed balance is easily lost due to a slight touch and leads to a player hitting the deck involuntarily is utter hogwash. Have a look at George Best or Diego Maradona dribbling past opponents. They were of course hugely under-protected, but the sight of them riding tackles is...
  6. If there is slight contact but you massively exaggerate it, should it count as a dive?

When this thread was active the football authorities had long decided that diving should be part of the game. Last night at Anfield the results of this policy became even more stark, embarrassing and literally ridiculous.
  7. Post match vs Everton

In your mind, if a player "went down easily" did he hit the deck voluntarily or involuntarily?

  10. Interim manager

It's got to be Neil Warnock. Then again, the players' egos could never handle being led by him.
  11. Cancel Culture

I suspect what Keegan meant to articulate was that previously, pundits had relevant experience due to having played Premier League/Division One football, whereas none of the women pundits have.
  12. VAR and Refs | General Discussion

Au contraire: football is a wonderful sport but its main function is to facilitate the world's greatest sports discipline - goalkeeping. Outfield players surely enjoy their football, but at the back of their minds there's an enduring sadness that they'll never be goalkeepers.
  13. Can anybody find on YouTube Banks' save and Hughes' scissor-kick from different camera angles?

I have seen a much broader view of the Mark Hughes scissor-kick versus Spain. I'm pretty I've seen Gordon Banks' save from Pele's header from behind the goal. The problem is that there are many, many posts and rehashes of the same old clips on YouTube. A broader view from one static camera -...
