Absolutely ridiculous suggestion having a player manager. This is Manchester United, not a Salford dads pub team. Admittedly there's a lot to admire about Ronaldo, and there's definitely certain qualities that could mean he becomes a good manager, but this is a crazy suggestion imo.

You need a captain to be strong and show a bit of character when results aren't going your way. Maguire has been abysmal and if anything has buried his head in the sand. Either that or he actually has been leading by example in trying to get Ole the sack for the benefit of the team... :lol:

There is a top player in Maguire, but right now he's a liability. Whoever comes in as manager needs to hand the captaincy over to Ronaldo and drop Maguire to the bench and make him earn/fight for his place in the team again. He just doesn't feel right as captain, he's not leading by example...
