  1. Day 12: Canada vs Morocco | Croatia vs Belgium | Costa Rica vs Germany | Japan vs Spain

I remember when some were calling the likes of Kagawa, shirt sellers. Hopefully Son's success and Japan's success will make people realize that they have some decent players in Asia. I think Croatia will beat them, but I think they earned some respect.
  2. Aston Villa vs Manchester United

I don't get the criticism of ETH. They've been put in positions to score but just haven't executed well. As has been said, Eriksen doesn't look right. When they need goals it doesn't make sense to just pull Ronaldo. The problem is that we are missing Bruno... you'd think we were missing...
  3. Premier League Gameweek 10

I'd rather Liverpool have won or come out with a draw. Arsenal is way better this season. It looks like it's between City and Arsenal this year.
  4. Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

I miss Jose's articulate responses at the end of matches. Love him or hate him, the man at least sounded intelligent even in his second or third language. ETH just sounded limited in what he could communicate to players in English. I know he has a reputation for being a great manager, but it...
  5. Cristiano Ronaldo - Man Utd Player

Some Lakers fans complained when we signed LeBron James. One should never pass up on an opportunity to sign a proven champion especially when it's at a cut rate salary. Welcome, Cristiano!
  6. Would the Super League be a success?

Juventus, Inter, AC Milan have won 72 titles... No one but them have won for 20 years. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico have won 70 titles... No one other than Valencia has won in the last 20 years. Outside of the Big 6... No one other than Leicester and Blackburn has won since the inception...

Threadmarks: Jose Mourinho the first of The Super League managers to lose their job

  8. European Super League

Oh, I think there is a lot of room for improvement... I liked the idea of the guy who suggested the major European leagues would all feed into the superleague with relegation in and out of it. However, I'm guessing the major players wouldn't take the risk because they don't want to tarnish...
  9. European Super League

If you can buy yourself out of 18th, 19th or 20th... you can often buy yourself into 4th or 5th. There is a little element of chance... but it's mostly about money other than the occasional Leicester type miracle.
  10. European Super League

I think people enjoy the fantasy that Real, Juve, Bayern, MU, Liverpool, Arsenal, PSG could be relegated in the modern era... rather than the reality. It's like the American illusion that if you compete hard enough and find a niche that you can defeat Amazon or Walmart in retail. But I suppose...
  11. European Super League

Americans don't have relegation... it's true it's not as exciting as the European leagues for the bad teams... but no one wants to be in last place... people will stop going to games. The Glazers spend somewhere in the middle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers... and they just won the Super Bowl so...
  12. European Super League

People say the Glazers will spend less money... but they won't be able to hide when they are 15th in the SuperLeague instead of a weak 2nd in the EPL If anything their weaknesses will be exposed and they will have to spend more to keep up with the other "super" teams. It's a work in...
  13. European Super League

Yes unless you implement a salary cap like the American NBA, these same teams will always dominate. And with all the corruption money is paid under the table anyway.
  14. European Super League

I think if teams rise to a certain level they will expand the league to include them. Maybe a play in tournament with rotating guest teams... who knows? I get the outrage... I'm an American so it's much easier for me to watch it from an outsider's perspective and enjoy the idea of watching...
  15. European Super League

When is the last time any of the so called big teams in any of the leagues actually faced relegation? They all have too much money to fail... I don't get this argument at all because Real, Barca, ManUtd, City, Arsenal haven't been close to relegation anyway.
