I mean there's an argument to be made that Kante is the best high-pressing midfielder ever. Keane and Vieira potentially could have done this but it's of course not crazy to suggest that Kante was better at specific things that were/are valued...
If Romeo Lavia wasn't just a figment of our imagination we'd be all set! Caicedo pressing high, Enzo freed up in the attacking 8 role, square pegs in square holes!
Some very misguided takes about Kante in here as if he was hopeless on the ball. He made leaps and bounds during his time at Chelsea; especially under Sarri he went up a level with his passing. By the end he was an elite ball progressor by any...
The space he generates with the threat of his running in behind is very underrated and was conspicuous in its absence whilst he was away with Senegal. Palmer aside he's easily the best of our attackers at linking play as well.
Ah yes, the infallible font of knowledge known as the Daily Mail.
It's obviously just clickbait. Chelsea aren't getting expelled - and there's no indisputable proof those payments weren't accounted for anyways in terms of overall agent spend...
Yeah don't disagree. Our other attackers are all so wasteful in the final third - Mudryk and Gallagher especially lose the ball constantly. Think Palmer has another level to go to if he had teammates to link up with consistently.
He was never quite the same after doing his ACL multiple times. Always rushed back too. Had all the potential to be in this conversation had he stayed fit.
