I think you're wrong. I think he will be Suarez-tier. He's mentally superstrong as well. He has been the best player of the Eredivisie since 2014, not just one season. He's going to be a sensation in the PL and I don't understand why United didn't buy him.

Vlaar is past his prime but still a decent defender. He didn't need speed and flexibility against the poor United strikers, only good positioning and he's one of the best positioning himself.

United didn't underestimate AZ. AZ overestimated United and played 'in control'. United has better individual quality, but AZ is a better team. Had AZ pushed more forward, it would have scored. But they were too afraid of conceding a goal, while United was toothless upfront.

I watch alot of AZ games. They're a highly organised team. Every club with exception of the top teams in Europe would have a difficult game. But what I saw from United this evening was terrible.

AZ is a fairly decent team in Holland. PSV and especially Ajax are miles better though. United played against a club with a turnover of 25 million. AZ had more chances. Terrible performance from United.

AZ is the best footballing club in the Netherlands since 2004. You will see for yourself thursday. They also have a great youth acadamy. Stengs and Boadu are their star players, but overall they have a solid squad.
