  1. Cardiac issues in footballers

I can't remember this many cases in the past. But that may very well be selective perception. If anyone has any data, that would be great.
  2. Cardiac issues in footballers

I mean, the path to pick here should be relatively simple. 1. Compare the numbers over the last decade (or longer) about cardiac arrests among footballers. I'm quite confident the clubs, leagues and/or UEFA/FIFA has numbers on that. If not, research it. 2. If there is a spike, compare those...
  3. German Football 21/22 | Gladbach sign Farke

There is an area between claiming there was matchfixing vs. "its all fair and clean and we do not need to look further". And if there is a referee that has a past and is used in the most important league match of the season, then asking questions and taking more than one look is warranted. Your...
  4. German Football 21/22 | Gladbach sign Farke

    1. So there is someone known for a past of criminal behaviour and match fixing - but there is "nothing to see here"? That's a wild conclusion you have there. 2. Well, assuming you are out to matchfix, that's how you would do it, right? Not going for clearly wrong decisions, but going for the...
  5. Hardest football quiz question ever

They just don't wanna give away the prize so they can keep sucking people in 'duh
  6. Thomas Tuchel | Gone to & from Bayern (In Summer)

Tactically he is definitely up there with the best, but he seems to be a complicated personality. Also just like Pep he has a tendency to overcomplicate his tactics
  7. German Football 21/22 | Gladbach sign Farke

Come one, guys. That was a tongue-in-cheek joke - especially since it actually did happen to men in german refereeing. Tacitus got it. No need to be offended by that.
  8. German Football 21/22 | Gladbach sign Farke

I will be honest. It's an absolute mystery to me how Aytekin is still allowed to referee anything above Kreisliga. He has a track record or being a horrible referee for over a decade now. If he was a woman i would accuse him of getting here with different means, but you know. Anyhow, the first...
  9. Vaccinated Players

That's not how risk management works. You take the percentage of players who had serious long term impacts of covid and then compare it to the percentage risk the vaccines have. To just pick single players is anecdotal evidence. There are also cases of pro athletes with the vaccine having...
  10. Vaccinated Players

As far as I can see here: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/israel/ The numbers seem not too far off of each other. So with the absolute numbers being relatively low - it still begs the question how effective the vaccines really are seeng the data. At least in Israel it doesn't...
  11. Vaccinated Players

Assuming all these numbers are correct - which I don't know if they are. So if anyone has proper sources for those, feel free to post. But under those numbers: If more than 80% of Israels population is vaccinated and around 85% of hospitalised people are of the group of vaccinated - doesn't...
  12. Vaccinated Players

I would assume a lot of it has to do with risk-assessment. Essentially covid by now is a known entity with players who are pretty much 24/7 under any form of medical care. Unlike us commoners this is a completely different background and thus the risk of covid becoming serious is so minimal at...
  13. Julian Nagelsmann | Sacked and replaced by Tuchel

The question is - do we want that? And how much of an advantage is it to nowadays, if the coach could give his players constant instructions throughout the game. Unlike handegg, football is constantly moving without permanent breaks inbetween.
  14. German Football 21/22 | Gladbach sign Farke

Skipbo is such a good game, though. Dunno how you can get mad over that
  15. Would a world-class defender be the best attacker in the Conference? Would a world-class attacker be the best defender in the Conference?

I read an interview by Andreas Reinke some years ago who talked about this topic. Essentially he said he was playing as a striker since it was the furthest away from his professional position so he is just as bad as everyone else.
