I'd argue Rice is much more than a ball winner, but you've looked much better with Jorginho (deep-lying playmaker) Rice and Odegaard as the 8's, in my opinion.
Not sure what position he played tonight but I'm pretty sure he's been playing in the 10 role for Chelsea of late. Maybe thats a reason as to why he's been better.
I wouldn't say he changed the game because England were creating chances before he came on, but I agree that's he's underrated and I'd probably start him. Problem is, there's only so many we can play.
Playing on the left but it does seem a bit congested in the middle. However, it's looked more fluid this half, with the box four of Rice, Mainoo, Bellingham and Foden. The width should be coming from Chillwell and Bowen.
