There are dumb phrasing everywhere, and, yes, US soccer chants are embarrassing. The phrase “gutted” is pretty lame too though. How many times a season can Shaw be gutted anyway? Last season it was often twice a week.
No idea about his sources, but Wayne Barton is suggesting that Elliot think they are getting a portion and the Glazers are keeping the rest (30%). The plan being asset strip and then sell later. Fun.
If someone comes along with 6 billion and wants to put United in some kind of trust for the fans, then yes. Obviously that isn’t happening, so it’s two bad choices. I don’t see one being significantly better or worse than the other.
The retractable roof stadiums I have visited were more like an umbrella than a roof. They don’t have, and don’t need, a/c. Maybe it gets hotter in Manchester than Seattle, for example, but I’m guessing probably not by enough to make a difference.
Low energy 0-2. United look fatigued—passing isn’t crisp (except when it is—the Anthony chance comes to mind). Seems like a game for a few of the bench guys.
I'm sure someone has already said this, but they weren't dancing much during the 7-1 to Germany. Maybe just stop them from scoring if you don't like the dancing.
