Excellent professional 2nd half.

First half felt like both teams not wanting to risk the game.

I criticise Fred constantly, but 2nd half he was awesome. Pogba my MOTM for being the difference maker. Lindelof and McT with solid performances as well.

Il take it, not perfect but good enough, the one moment of quality won the game. Pogbad hold up play draws players and made the space for bruno to ping the ball to A.W.B which led to the goal.

Felt we could of shown more intensity and tempo after we scored to get a second and put the game to bed but maybe we were trying to manage the game and keep our discipline.

Everyone seemed to be so much more composed on the ball after the break. Bruno was MUCH better after his first half performance.

Defensively we were fantastic and keeper done well too.

Thought Greenwood done well but needs to really attack the box.

James needs to find a final ball!

God knows how Dan James saw out that 90 minutes. Pretty dodgy performance but you take it on a night where Spurs blow a 2 goal lead against a Croatian side.
He had a shocking game, but while he was in there was always that threat in behind them for Pogba and Bruno to use at least. Just seemed to have his head down all the time.

So, Franck Kessie then. Wow.

I just pictured him featuring in our midfield with Pogba and Bruno and almost had a party in my pants.

Want want want.

Lindelof and Maguire look very solid when Henderson at the back !!
Poor at the first half which we may be a 10 men team at first half (Rashford look so uncomfortable)
Hopefully our injury team come back with fitness !!

And it is great to see Tottenham Hotspur lost at the Croatia at the same day!!!!

Not afraid to admit I celebrated that Pogba goal much as the one which briefly saw us at the top of the league, knowing our luck with draws it will be Villarreal/Roma/Arsenal tomorrow

Top performance by Pogba and we defended well along with Henderson having a good game and the others managed to up their game a bit in the second half. A total horror show in the first half.

Not sure what the Milan coach was moaning about after the whistle, they really turned nasty for last 15 mins and should've had more bookings and a sending off. Their handball shouts were nothing.

Tough game against a decent squad that only needed a scoreless draw.

Pogba for Rashford was a great substitution on Ole's part. Changed the game just enough.

I thought Shaw was a little off. James did some good things. Greenwood's defensive "contributions" are a bit transparent too much of the time. Lindelof had a strong game, Maguire a little less so. Hendo had to make only one really great save, maybe a few others. Fred made a lot of good passes, but some bad ones as well. Bruno was a little off tonight.

We're on to the next round. I'm happy. Toughest remaining opponent is now out of the competition, as are Spurs. Not to sound blase, but the next round should be easier.

Excellent second half performance and Pogba was the only candidate for MOTM.

Most impressive was how we closed out the game really well, something we seem to be getting better at as the season goes on. Hopefully we can that's something that will become the norm.

Well he put himself in the shop window at Old Trafford last week, so remains to be seen whether a DM could still be on the shopping list this summer

I was disgusted with the milan bench, their antics all game were disgraceful, screaming at the ref, calling for 7 minutes added time, demanding the name of one of the officials as well.

Henderson - good shot stopper, much better in the air than DDG, I have concerns over his handling and hesitancy go catch the ball. Good save VS Zlatan (7)

AWB - kept their Belgian international winger quiet, but positionally off once or twice, took a risk in the last minute putting his hand on zlatan in the box. (7)

Lindelof - excellent. Got forward well when we had a man over. Bailly being fit allows him to manage his long term back injury, which is helping a lot. (8)

Maguire - Again absolutely brilliant. Won everything in the air, and was a calming presence. (8)

Shaw - played them onside a few too many times, but was his usual self. Becoming more and more like Denis Irwin by the day with his consistency.

Fred- Good footballer that can't pass, or shoot. Later part of the first half Keisse was running rings around him, but done well in the second half. An assist will help his confidence that he can rediscover his form in the final third. (7)

McTominay - similar to Fred in terms of starting well, fading out, and coming back into the game. Typical he was the one running with the ball in the 96th minute. Warrior. (7)

James- I like him, quality perhaps isn't there at times. Should have played Greenwood in for a 1v1. Works very hard, unlucky not to get a penalty. (6)

Bruno - worst performance in a United shirt. Looked tired, decision making was off. Nothing too bad, but not what we've come to expect from him. (6)

Rashford- not fit. shouldn't have played. Looked half arsed. ?(5)

Greenwood - really want him to score a goal, his confidence must be gone, but he's playing very good football. Working hard, Leading the line well (7)

Pogba - jakes MOTM. Almost Perfect performance. Took his goal brilliantly, brought a bit of flair, directness, and tucked in to stop Milan dominating the midfield. (9)

Nothing Amad couldn't have offered, though, with superior technical ability.

With basically all 3 of our senior strikers out, this together with the WH win shows our mentality is better and better, and thats all on OGS in my book. Like reversed Mourhino. But need and should win this thing now.

That Game summed us up perfectly . First Half Terrible , Second Half we were good. The Question every game is which one are we going to get . Sometimes in a game like tonight we get both .We Are As I have said many times a Jekyll and Hyde football team

Lindelof was my man of the match. He must have prevented at least 2 goals with 2 last ditch tackles. I swear he performs incredibly well against Italian teams. I remember he was a monster against Juventus in the champions league a couple of years back

Amazing how much a goal changes this team. They played like scared, little schoolboys until Pogba rescued them.

First half we didn't look like we could open a tin nevermind their defence. Second half we got a Pogba injection and never looked back, in truth we had the openings to finish them off but the final ball was constantly lacking. Great to be through and even better to have Pogba back looking sharp.

Excellent 2nd half.

Pogba inspired the team. Bruno looked like he needed a good month off, but it's almost like he found some reserves because there was another baller coming on.

Delighted with the win. Could have been prettier, but overall I think it was a fair result.

Ole must be fuming, though. Players went and won against his will, after he announced to the world that cups are shit, that only egomaniacs care about them and that he wants to bin them off (or whatever the melts on here convinced themselves that he said.)

Innit  I thought that the board wanted Ole to get eliminated?

And where did the ref get five minutes from?

The game just like the first leg, was played by neutralizing each other. Milan has two monstrous midfield destroyers. Pogba showed his quality in this kind of game. He is the only one can hold the ball. Really professional and matured display from us!

A win away, against crying Italians, is always that much sweeter.
Exactly, the amount of times we will have gone to Italians teams and they dive and wave their hands about for cards. Makes the win nicer.

Credit where it’s due, solid away performance. We’ve had a number of clean sheets recently, too bad a few those were 0-0. Now get the win against Leicester and hope for no injuries during the international break!

During the celebrations of the Pogba goals the pitchside mics picked up Mctominay saying to AWB "edge of the box next time".... after AWB fired one in to the box which ultimately led to a goal...

Absolutely shit first half! We have what we have in player material, but come on!?? Milan are no mugs, I know that. But at least try to string 5 passes together!?

quality is quality, and we looked much better in second half with Pogba out there.
Like I said earlier, we really need to hold on to the int. break! We have to find the energy somewhere!

ohh no. Ole didn’t make the subs today either? And he was right once more!? Such a shame..

Having Pogba + Bruno in the midfield can make up even for our very incapable attack-line of the late :)

Great performance from Dean-o, by the way. Would love to see him keep the starting goalkeeper role, sell De Gea and us buying somebody good at a different position, feels like a rational decision (which alas will probably not happen)

Ole clearly banked on killing the first half, then bring on Pogba and push forward in the second half.
