We’re back baby!

Hum... no subs?
Of the names mentioned, Ronaldo, Garnacho, Garner, Lindelof and Bailly can get some match fitness because their alternates' positions are up for grabs.

All 5 subs were made in the 88th minute

Amad scores in all the behind closed door games
Kind of makes sense — he’s almost certainly the most technically gifted player at the club and these behind closed doors games have much less intensity so the technical stuff thrives more

How many behind-closed-doors games are we planning for this week, outta curiosity? Glad we're doing them, the manager needs all the insight he can get.

Is this the equivalent of getting waxed in a game at the park and going home to beat your little brother in the garden with the garage door for goal?

Ten Hag clearly knows the first 11 isnt good enough. This is our second behind closed friendly with some youngsters, he wants to be sure they can produce before making changes.

With Rashford, McFred performances, I would be shocked if he does not make changes.

I want to see Iqbal given a chance. He can't be any worse than Mctominay.

Its not about the first 11 not being good enough, its about ensuring everybody gets sufficient minutes so that we can last throughout the season, especially with the world cup coming in the middle (bound to have fatigue and injuries).

I’m not sure any of our players will be picked at this rate…

This is a really good move from ETH, because he is clearly testing players and teams.

ETH would have learnt a lot from the game on Sunday and testing another team, plus getting Ronnie match fit is a good move.

I think ETH is a class act, shame the rest of the club is in the toilet

Also scored in his last match in front of a big crowd at Old Trafford. I think these goals make him our top scorer from pre-season? I’d love to know what the hell we’re planning to do with him.
Not the kind of guy that will thrive considering our current midfield, will do better if the midfield is more dominant....for example see how his game went up when Iqbal came on vs Vallecano, same with Sancho.

They will be picked. Like i have mentioned in other threads, it was the wrong formation to play against Brighton since their 6 man midfield was like a "jail" for the 3 man midfield we had. ETH realized this and changed the formation to counter Brighton in the 2nd half, leading to a better game.

Against Brentford i am sure ETH will adjust his formation to be more robust. He will also know which players will do well in the formation he is going to select.

Good team Halifax, or they were last season at least. I think under Pete Wild last year they'd have probably held us to a draw.

This win is absolutely massive. Shock horror that theres no mainstream reports of it though, they're still focused on our game almost 3 days ago, rather than focusing on our most recent one. ABU bastards.
