It's impressive tech. But it's not for me.

Why both being there if you're going to watch it through your phone?

Yes, why bother watching actual match in front of you when you watch it through the phone that is watching it for you.

Not for me - I usually select the top down match engine ala Football Manager, or just the text commentary anyway.

"The goal was gaping for Lukaku...."

What does the caf think?

Cool. Bring it on!

The end of football as we know it.

Somewhere in between.

Given my reputation for shouting at clouds, I probably don’t need to type out my own thoughts.
That’s possibly one of the worst demonstrations of an app I’ve seen.

That's fecking cool. Entirely pointless mind, just a way of getting your data, but still cool.

I can see how it might appeal to the stat-driven, mobile phone obsessed younger generations, but it’s not for me.

I remember the days stewards would march over and shout "no photos while the players are on the pitch" when I tried to take a pic from 2 tiers away on some crappy disposal camera!

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Pointless if you’re there - but the next step in the future is digital season tickets. If you’re at home watching via your VR/AR headset - and getting distance covered stats, pass completion, tackles, sprints, receptions in attacking third stats etc for players in real time would really geek me the feck out.

Yup. I'm looking forward to this. I can't stand the standard broadcast camera. I like to see the whole pitch and also VR does a good job of immersing you into the environment.
