Former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has revealed dissatisfaction with aspects of life in Saudi Arabia and claimed a number of players are unhappy.

Laporte became one of the Saudi Pro League’s numerous statement signings last summer when he left the Champions League winners to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr in a lucrative deal.

Just let me add this to the long list of things I couldn't give a single good feck about (no disrespect to the OP).

You have to wonder what they do on an average day, Saudi Arabia to me just looks a bit boring outside of big events.

Cristiano probably doesn't care because he just eats unseasoned chicken breast and works out all day.

Damn, I was so hoping for Saudi to come to bail us out with some of our players on huge wages. It seems the only moment for that was last summer as I expect that lots of players will now have second thoughts about moving to Saudi given that some of the high-profile players are voicing discontent or plainly leaving after 6 months.

That's why Deschamps didn't want you.

“Yes they look after us, but not enough for my liking. In Europe they pay you a good salary but they look after you more."
