Stupid thing to do, there are no standards set at the club right now.

It's problematic to have one unprofessional player in your team, as soon as they are more it gets real tricky to deal with. Lingard, Sancho, Rashford. I really didn't expect Rashford to be this thick/unprofessional (I think it's the latter), but there you go. It's a shame we broke that new wage structure that was widely reported about 2 minutes after setting that out.
No shock to see that they're all mates. The second Rashford started imitating Lingard's behaviour we should've shipped Lingard out.

I'd suggest that we now have standards when we might not have had so previously and some of the players haven't been able to adapt to expectations.

The bible says:

"But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at Rashford." John 8:7

I am a great fan of Marcus, think he doesn't deserve half of the shite posted on here but I just find this unacceptable if true. He might be ill but he has left himself open to criticism. Mind you (apparently Bestie, Whiteside and Robson all used to turn up to training still pissed

Totally different time and they still performed. Rashford is not a toe of Robson looking at quality.

You have to wonder if he knew the team before Friday and said f#£k this im going out. Shame, he's still got plenty to offer just clearly needs help outside the game.

Hope he's made an example of and sold at the end of the season. What an entitled pr!ick he's turned out to be. Another massive disappointment for me.. Thought he would turn into a world class player. So many players have turned into massive letdowns at the club in recent years. Ineos need to be absolutely ruthless in their first year.

If there is any truth to this then a significant punishment is warranted, bench, fined wages, therapy. He’s had one very good season, the others mediocre. We talk about discipline and wanting it back, he’s a prime example to be worked on and I’m convinced he was one of the player leaking Sancho stories, he wants out I reckon and if that’s the case then on your bike son.

To everyone saying “sell him” and “get rid”: please explain how you propose we sell him when he’s on wages no other club will pay and signed a 5 year deal last year.

To sell him you need a buyer willing to pay him £300k a week or whatever ridiculous salary we gave him. He won’t be taking a pay cut. Any club that could afford those wages won’t want him because he isn’t even all that good.

A few days of the transfer window to go, can’t we loan him out to Nice just to show him and others that we will not stand for this sought of behaviour?
Why Nice? Isn’t that the French club SJR owns? Paperwork should be a doddle, then at end of the season get permanantly rid.

According to MUFC "Marcus Rashford not well enough to be in the squad for Newport following illness; he has stayed at Carrington to train as he recovers.”

Weak. He should be out for disciplinary reasons.

Going to a nightclub in Belfast into the early hours on the day of training and then calling sick is a disciplinary matter in any line of work.

I've been a huge Rashford supporter on here even when folk on here have been hugely critical of on-field performances.

But his attitude stinks. His goal celebration with hands on ears to fans last time out stunk to high heaven. And I do think he has turned into the new Lingard ( his mate).

I honestly think the cancer of bad attitude at the club can be laid at the door of Paul Pogba in recent years.

Mourinho had it right about Pogba's bad and entitled attitude and as he was a senior player which others looked up to, I am convinced that has filtered through the squad and is the reason we are seeing this Man Utd cancer. It won't go until all bad apples are dumped. And it pains me to say it, but that includes Rashford.

There was a reason Fergie dumped Pogba.

Why would Rashford agree to that? He only goes if he wants to, the chances of getting rid in the summer are minimal given his wages but forcing him to agree to a loan to Nice at this stage would be impossible.

Been wank all season and he decides to go to a nightclub and miss training. The guy thinks he's Wayne Rooney in terms of ability and status. In reality he's nowhere worth the attitude issues and should be shipped out asap.

Then we'll have a potential Sancho mess MK2. Let's protect him till the summer and then let's sell.

He's been so lucky to have come through at a time when we've been at our worst. Has the status and pay of a superstar when he'd have been lucky to ever make the bench in SAFs time.
