Well, we don't have a midweek WSL Cup QF so we will be going into our weekend WFA Cup match fully rested. Always look on the bright side.

Southampton are currently fourth in the Championship on 27 points, 3 off top place. Their 27 points come from 9 wins and 6 defeats - yep, zero draws in the League.

They lost 3-0 to Spurs in the WSL Cup but Arsenal only beat them 2-1 and they drew 1-1 with Bristol (and won the penalty shootout)

So yes, we should win and win well. But they're not going to be pushovers and this is our last chance of a trophy this season.

The match is live and free to view in most countries on the FA Player.

I wanted to go to this, thinking it would be easy from Bristol on public transport. Turns out I was wrong. Train is £40 with no guarantee of them running. There is no Megabus. National Express takes 6 hours. Anyway, those are my problems!

It should be a routine win. Will Skinner risk starting with Williams, Evans, Malard, Galton, Phallon, Irene and Ladd? I doubt it but think there will be some changes.

Has anything been said about Jayde coming off on Saturday? I think Evans might start for that reason. Would be tough to drop either Parris or Geyse for Malard at this point, they were really clicking at the weekend. Garcia was full of energy, pressing and harassing but without much end product for it. Its hard to say the knock on effect that had in terms of rushing Brighton and forcing errors/creating space for others, wouldn't be shocked to see her swapped out though.

I've not heard anything about Riviere, although she clearly was not comfortable after that incident. As for the others, it's difficult to know when to continue building on what is working well or giving game time to the rest of the squad.

I expect to see Ladd and Galton start though, possibly Malard too.

Yeah, Galton looked really energetic, but didn’t have time to get settled on Saturday. Either way, the options are all good now, rather than hopeful.

Aoife Mannion is back in full training now and has played a couple of matches for the U21s. It doesn't sound like she'll start on Sunday, but she should be on the bench at least.

Alyssa Aherne is back from her loan at Everton. Skinner says she may appear at Southampton if the situation allows - which I guess means 5 minutes at the end if we're winning and all the first team regulars have had a run out.

The rest of the players are training as normal, with a "few knocks" so we should have a full squad (minus the ACL club) available for the match.

@jojojo - are you sure that this is on the FA Player? It is not showing up. The Arsenal v City game is, and yet it also live on BBC. It's very confusing!

Hmm. I can't guarantee it. It's showing up if I scroll down (below the Lionesses/Liverpool match) but I'm not in England at the moment.

According to
https://www.live-footballontv.com/
which is usually pretty trustworthy about UK broadcasts it's on.

So I think so, but - no promises :D

Thanks for the reply. It's still not appearing on mine but will check again at 2pm. I am on my phone and it does not allow me to scroll below the Liverpool game.

Anyway, fingers crossed

Definitely on the FA player. I’ve got it on now.

No worries
Nice finish by Toone outside the box to make it 1-0. Blundell did well with the run from midfield too to create the space for Toone.

Fantastic strike from Tooney to give us an early lead. She’s getting close to her best ever form at the moment. Love to see it

Thanks. Still not appearing on my phone. Listening to it on Radio Solent. Very retro!
Just a shoddy UI on the app I think.

Worth another try I think.

Go to the live page. On the view where it starts showing the upcoming matches you should see an "UP NEXT" on one side of the screen and "VIEW ALL" on the other. Click on View All - do you see us?
If not then make sure it's showing "all matches" not just WSL ones (which appears to be a default on some screens).

You can get there from the Live screen as well - just make sure it's using the "view all" competitions setting not just the WSL one.

Do you think the teams get together to decide which player will go down with an ‘injury’ halfway through the half so everyone can have a drinks break?

I hope United inject some speed into their play second half. It’s all become a bit walking pace.

Williams to the rescue again. It’s not been a great performance though. Parris has had another good game.

Less than impressive but a win is a win and this competition is all that’s left this season in reality. Some good individual performances but very disjointed otherwise.
