In yours, Lahm it's another mid with defensive tasks when going up, in his team I think Zanetti suits better playing as an 8 (not a winger) attacking (with his quote of generosity defending) and as fullback when fully defending.
I was more thinking both having fullbacks tucking into the midfield on the right and Beckenbauer shuttling between the backline and midfield in the middle with the Xavi/Modric duo ahead. But yes there are definitely differences personnel wise as Zannetti is far more of an engine/runner while Lahm will be more controlling and reserved.
That team would score about 50 freekicks every season too.
