Laws may be laws, but that disallowed goal for Bournemouth is a disgrace
In the ground I was convinced the first one was a handball but was unconvinced by the second, need to see both again clearly!Yeah, first one never a pen…but the second one, the defender knew what he was doing.
scored likely the winner here, and yeah, should have been off for that dive.Havertz should have been sent off a few times this season but usually manages to stay on the pitch
Gabriel fouled the Brentford player first. It was similar to Haaland vs Cucurella a few months back where Haaland fouled Cucurella to get ahead then got a penalty because Cucurella tugged his shirt after he got ahead. That pull back on the Arsenal player was not too dissimilar to what Hojlund got penalised for against City for us. I’ve seen a few of them since we had that penalty given against us. None given.
VAR is not involved in yellow cardsWhy didnt they go to VAR for the possible Paulinha second yellow? Felt like it was a pretty solid yellow card offense. Is that the issue...because it was not a red card offense?
I was thinking the same.I don't think he should do it but I also don't think it warrants talking about. Especially when these ex-referees are so reluctant to criticise their own for the most part. I do wonder why he's chosen to criticise Gill. New referee, not fitting in the old boys club?
It's just kids, it would seem. When I was a kid our school took us to some European Union convention or whatever, and I remember asking for an autograph from a small time local politician simply because he was famous at the time and asking for autographs is what you do when you meet famous people. Turned out to be a crook later on.Who the feck wants an official's autograph? That's ridiculous.
I went to many sporting events as a child and never once thought about getting a referee, official, or umpire's autograph. I never saw them as stars of the show, it was the athletes first and coaching staffs second and possibly a media figure like a TV/radio commentator if available. It's just kids, it would seem. Oh feck off Mike Dean you absolute Cnut. I didn’t see signing autographs affecting his refereeing. Amazing how Dean calls this out and stays silent on all of the other bad decisions his friends make.
That’s my understanding of it, yeah. Why didnt they go to VAR for the possible Paulinha second yellow? Felt like it was a pretty solid yellow card offense. Is that the issue...because it was not a red card offense?
Including that time he was VAR and he admitted he didn’t call a ref over because he felt it would be tough for the refOh feck off Mike Dean you absolute Cnut. Yeah but they didn't sign a piece of paper did they!? I mean, won't someone think of the children...Including that time he was VAR and he admitted he didn’t call a ref over because he felt it would be tough for the ref
I'm not so sure Doku does get there first either. It's very close but to me it looks like it just deflects off the top of Mac Allister's pec first.
Arsenal get so much help from refs its insane, yet no one whines more than them.Tweet

It's not even whether or not he gets the ball first, it's the height of his foot and where he connects with the Liverpool player that makes it a foul.I still can't understand how it isn't a pen even if he gets the ball. How, in modern football is the follow through not a foul?
