Not very confident. Watched them play City on Sunday, and they were ripping through their defence at times with their press. If they had a fraction of clinicality up top, they’d have scored more than one.

With Salah likely starting, I fear we’re going to need to score 3 to win this at least.

We'll probably play way more defensive than City did and try to repeat similar tactics to the Anfield game which we could have actually won with a smash and grab with two of our chances.

The crowd and the players have to be really up for this but it's not impossible. The players must know this game is really the entire season.

1-0 United :wenger:. Garnacho with the goal.

Just thinking about how United had the chance to spoil City’s treble last year, but that mission was over after a few minutes.

United have the chance to spoils Klopp’s farewell tour and book a place in the semi-finals.

Huge game with so much to play for…let’s hope they are up for the fight!

As rubbish as it sounds I think we sound set up like we did at the Etihad with McTominay . We are just not good enough albeit Hojlund returning will be huge. Crowd the midfield keep it tight at the back and counter when possible . 2-1 Utd

Being at home makes me a little more confident. We always seem to attack teams more when we’re at OT no matter who the opponent is. Last year we had decent wins against city, Liverpool and Arsenal at home. Hoping the crowd are up for it and push the team on!

It really wasn't. It was 1-1 at HT and a De Gea clanger gave them the win.

Sure if it's 8-0. It would be some moaning (and justifiably so) if we sneak a 1-0 result thanks to a dodgy penalty with most of the game being one way traffic.
If we beat Liverpool 1-0 on the back of a dodgy pk there will be acknowledgment that the pk was dodgy, but overall delight that we beat a side that was objected to crush us like Arnold Schwarzenegger crushes aluminum cans.

Will Klopp risk playing the kids against us? He’ll want the league more than a cup, but getting knocked out against your rivals is hard to take.

He can play the kids tomorrow as they are through to next round of Europa.

And there’s an international break after the FA cup game so I don’t see him resting anybody against United. We will be up against a fully armed and fully operational Liverpool.

It Used to drive me mad when Fergie used to change up the whole team prior to international break.

    Hear me out here folks.

I know the City score looks terrible. 3-1. However until the Amrabat mistake it was 2-1 and we had chances playing a counter attack.

Yes we were under pressure for large parts of the game but we didn't do too badly, although ultimately I get the score was what it was.

I for one wouldn't mind the same set up against Liverpool. ETH setting up like that won't worry me. If we can create a couple of quick counters early on and IMPORTANTLY score a couple we stand a chance here.

I know most of us want UTD to play a certain entertaining way but time and place and we are where we are. So a sound defensive display with a few chances and I will be happy enough. Should we take our chances and get a goal and win I will be ecstatic despite the style.

A 1 goal win with 300 shots on our goal and 20% possession and I wont give a damn.

I don't see us being able to live with the relentless energy of this Liverpool squad considering we always pull our pants down and roll over even if we're 1 or 2 goals ahead.

We're going to get to get slapped around. Only question is how severe the slapping will be.

Same approach as against Cheaty, but with less mistakes. There were some good passages of play against City where we found space and went at them.

Liverpool at home in the cup on a sunday afternoon. I can't wait?
Usually it would be a day that I couldn't wait for either but our managers previous endeavours against our rivals and top 6 teams doesn't give me much to look forward to.

My only wish is that we don't set up as massive underdogs at home and go down meekly.

I think we should understand our limitions and understand that going toe to toe with Liverpool will result in a heavy battering like last season at anfield.

This is a match for counter attacking, the main thing is to always be a danger when the opportunity comes about to counter. We also need to be clinical

Hoping you guys start him. Latin flair vs Scottish shithousery....talk about a culture clash!
It would be sumptuous if Anthony scored the winner, volleying a shot off Harry’s head hitting Kelleher in the face , then the crossbar and painfully slow role on quantum hundredth milimetre over the line that VAR takes 5 minutes to confirm.

Careful....he'd likely get an instant contract extension!

If we take a more direct approach, I'd say we stand a small chance of getting a result. Also wouldn't hurt if Højlund is back. If we try to play out from the back through Casemiro, it could easily be over before half-time.

Liv have the luxury of playing kids in their return Europa game tonight so I expect a full strength (injuries permitting) to show up on Sunday...sadly that means our players will simply sh*t the bed like they normally do when pressed in defensive areas to concede chance after chance. Only Onana heroics will keep us in the game....not many of us have confidence in this scenario!

If we play a decent game and win, you won't hear any moaning from me.

But if we spend most of the game cowering in our half, Liverpool forget to bring their shooting boots, and we score a lucky deflection off Van Dijk's backside, I'm gonna moan. I'll be happy we stopped the Mickey Mouse quadruple, but I'll also moan.
If that were to happen d be that drunk I won’t be able to find my iPad and I most definitely won’t moan, I’ll just laugh at the scousers.
