    Legs have gone/are going too.

He was garbage against Everton, and that wasn't because of our system, but because he couldn't pass the ball to any of his teammates.
Like I said his performances this season have been rubbish. And you mean another game we got battered in and the opposition was all over us? It’s all about the system, we had players like Mainoo the furthest forward at one point.

It's got to be an advantage us having the week off while Liverpool played Thursday. Maybe we can out run them for a change!

Our results at Old Trafford against Klopp's Liverpool aren't even that bad. Of course, we got that 5-0 spanking, but that's only one result. We actually have more wins than losses at home vs. Liverpool in that period.

Yes, we are underdogs, but it's not unthinkable that we pull out a result. It's just unfurtonate that a draw is basically a loss, because it means we have to go to Anfield, where our chances are extremely slim.
It was 7-0 at Anfield. 0-5 at Old Trafford a couple of years ago.

Could be a season defining game this one. Win this and potentially carry that momentum into earning CL qualification. Lose it and I think we'll see a similar end to the season that we saw under Rangnick.

The crowd will be up for up. Let's shithouse a scrappy win! 2-1 United.

It's good to know wel have two full backs and Hojlund. That should be enough to not park the bus, I'd be pissed off with ten hag if he did.

It's an absolute guarantee that they will have run more and had more than the lions share of possession at the end of 90 mins.

The crowd needs to get up for it. Make it really hostile for them, see how they like it. Did you see the way Anfield rattled City last weekend?

    The team I'd play:
    Onana
    AWB Varane Kambwala Dalot
    Casemiro Amrabat
    Mainoo
    Garnacho Mount
    Rasmus
EtH most likely will go for the below and we'll be caught between trying to park the bus and high press, living on the edge the whole game.
    Onana
    Dalot--Varane--Maguire--Lindelof

    Casemiro----Mainoo

    Garnacho Bruno Rashford

I'd be surprised if we start with one, let alone both, of AWB or Mount given how long they've been out injured. And I don't think we should. Their return to the first team after such lengthy lay offs should probably be as subs, building up their minutes before they start.

Hojlund has only missed 4 games so that's different and happy enough for him to start - though he shouldn't play 120 minutes in the unlikely scenario it goes to ET.

So I'd probably go with something like the second option.

Would be nice just to give these wankers a game for once. I suspect we will get turned over but I’d rather lose 0-3 and give them a real battle than a back against the wall 0-1. One yellow card in the city game shows these players have no real fight or desire, just pay day merchants.

I doubt Klopp will go with the kids for this weekend's game, not against United in Old Trafford!

I hope our lads show the fight and passion that this fixture deserves, right from the start, and not the same "slowly slowly" ease our way into the game approach that we usually do, which only serves to give opponents an early foothold against us.

When was the last time they beat us in the FA cup at old Trafford?
1921, but we've only played them at home in the FA Cup three times since then (four if you count the post-war game at Goodison when we were the "home" team).

    Aye.

They're miles better than us. I'd accept a battling loss, but cannot see past another miserly three nil home defeat.

    Bastards.

He's not really been going "with the kids" anyway, given the number of key players he's been playing during this apparent injury crisis.

He hasn't really been playing the kids other than against Southampton in the previous round. He has been playing Quansah at rt CB but he chooses that over playing Joe Gomez. Couple of games he has played Bradley at RB with Quansah at Rt CB, not sure if he had other options. So yeah he hasn't been playing "the kids"

Going to be 2 nil to Liverpool but will be that type of game where it could of been 4 or 5 nil to them.

We will have to play out of out skin to win this game.

Interesting. What were the 3 games at old Trafford, 1999, 2021 I can recall, do you know what the other one was?

Third round in 2011. 1-0 courtesy of an early Giggs penalty, and Gerrard was sent off later in the first half.

Think it was Dalglish's first game back in charge.

Yet he can win the CL year after year with Madrid. His performances this season have been a problem but I think that’s down to how ETH sets up. He has his DM running forward which leaves us vulnerable at the back.
Why do you think they sold him?

He'll be fine in a counter attacking unit.
While this is not true, even if it was we won't beat the top three playing counter attacking football. We brought in ETH to do the high press. That requires super fit highly motivated young players who can tackle. Not Casemiro,

I'm rarely optimistic but have a feeling about this one. We have a history of stopping teams on great runs. We did it with Arsenal last season, 2005 and 2002. I think it could be a similar type match to the Old Trafford one last season when Sancho scored. I'll say United 2-1 Hojland late winner.

He wanted a new challenge. How do you think we’ve always beat city under Solskjær. By counter attacking. That’s the only way to beat the top 3 I think you mean. We beat all this seasons top 3 last season at home. So I don’t know what you’re on about.

Don’t get the pessimists saying 0-3. The team played 0-0 at Anfield after playing Bayern midweek in December. Why would anyone not expect them to make it a close game at home in a knockout tie after a full week of recovery and preparation. Yes, Liverpool are the better side, but I’m fairly certain this won’t be a one sided affair.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
If they're still missing defenders and their GK then they won't be able to play good football or score goals. We've struggled with 1 or 2 defenders missing and they've had/ have 3 of their first choice back 4 missing, so this will be a tough game for them.

With us having more first choice players returning and our marquee signings, I think we'll beat them in style. 2 or 3 nil.

I'd be much more confident if we actually had a manager that's good tactically...unfortunately we haven't.
You just know it's gonna be the same United we always see under Ten Hag: Bruno hoofing 40 yard Hollywood passes, Rashford doing feck all without posession, Casemiro overplaying it in midfield and getting booked before HT, Rasmus and Mainoo working their butts off, Dalot beeing our best wing player, despite beeing a full back on paper, chaos in defence etc.

It's pretty much the same stuff every week.

Issue I have with us being an average team is that probability is a big factor in our results. Anyone can beat anyone in one game but Liverpool are much better than us this year, so even if we win this I feel like it’s guaranteed they spank us in the league in a few weeks.

Got faith united was bang average in the 80s yet nearly always got a result league and cup against a far more dominant Liverpool team than the one now

Did not know Hojlund is fully fit to start the game so that's good news.

Liverpool are much better than us so you'd expect them to beat us at least in 1 of the 2 games, so either tomorrow or in April. Not sure if I'd rather us to win this one and lose inevitably to City in semis or final of Fa Cup or win the league game in April and damage Liverpool's title chances.
