That Ramsey lad at Villa looks the real deal. He is very similar to Bellingham in the way that he drives forward, full of energy. Controls games.

Probably not as good in the scoring stats. But I think he will go far.

Andy Cole was already long established before his brothers Ashley and Joe took the premier league by storm.

And also let’s not forget Ronaldo ended up being greater than Ronaldo.
How can you forget his brother who's a PL legend, Charlton Cole?

He's run us ragged everytime he plays against us, I wanted United to sign him in summer but we won't get him out of Villa for cheap. I also think City will look at him next summer.

In top level football, yes.

Some more older brothers being better: Diego Milito, Benteke, Kroos, Ayew, Lukaku, Thiago, Abraham, Khedira, Aubameyang, Batshuayi, Sneijder, Lovren, Gotze, Lloris, Insigne, Milinkovic-Savic, Varane, Evans.

Some more younger being better: Boateng, Alonso, Cannavaro, Donnarumma, Martial, Xhaka, Mac Allister, Amrabat, McGinn.

But what about where both are professional? I win.
Toni is the youngest

I admire him for not wanting his surname on his shirt and wanting to go on his own path. Depends who he joins next. Jude was very lucky and used Dortmund as a stepping stone for a bigger move.

He wasn't anything special last season, he's supposedly very talented so will be interesting to see how he gets on.
He was 16 at the start of last season so unlikely that he’d have been pulling up trees

Sunderland have been bad a whole, but he hasn't been impressive.

I would advise anyone reading this comment to put a tenner on him scoring.

I've been impressed by him in general this season. Sunderland actually have a lot of good technical players and he's fitted in nicely. I definitely think he has it in him to at least get the chance at a top club.

Not overly impressed today. Sort of using Mainoo as a measure he didn’t look to have the same kind of feel about him.

Appreciate just the one game though.

I kinda expected an easy Newcastle win today. Beale is a big step down from Mowbray and, despite not being at his best this season, Roberts is the player who makes Sunderland tick. It was him and our Amad linking up that helped Sunderland play as well as they did last year, so having neither of them available plus a worse manager was always going to come back to bite them.

That left Bellingham in a hard position to impress because he's not currently at a level where he'll control or singlehandedly influence games yet. In games against teams closer to Sunderlands level where they've been able to play their game, he's looked promising, but not one of Sunderlands best players. I didn't really see much of Jude at Birmingham so I can't compare them myself.

Right now, I agree with you that Mainoo certainly looks more impressive, but I think they could play together as I see Mainoo as a 6 and, so far this season, Jobe as a 10/8. It's nice to see from an English POV because the more options, the merrier!

I didn’t watch the game but I definitely see talent there. Not as obvious but he has good timing and smart player. Not as physical as his brother or Mainoo for that matter more subtle.

I don't know about Jobe, but I think we may have a real shot signing Jude's father Mark Bellingham.

He is a former (albeit non-league) striker. We love signing older strikers from lesser leagues. I say, there is no way he can be worse than Wout Weghorst

Fair to say that Jude has gone through the stratosphere with his progress whereas Jobe is a little bit more on a normal path. However he’s getting better with experience and it’s only a matter of time before he gets picked up for the premier league.

He's been mostly crap this season though, that was his first good game in ages.

I'm late to this party - but Sam Sodje was better than his older brother Efe Sodje* (Bandana man) and than his younger brother Akpo. What does that mean to the brothers theory?

Efe was class for Yeovil! Had almost forgotten about him
