Post-match discussion

They are an odd bunch, could of had 9 points from the last 3 games but come away with 2.

Numb to it all theses days but a braindead moment from AWB has denied Kobbie of the most perfect winning moments. Shame but never mind.

I would have amen a daw before the game, we rode our luck a lot, AWB yet again with a brain fart, you just cannot make those mistakes at this level and cost us the game. he needs to go as his clangers are far too often now.

Well. ridiculous penalty to concede again, a crazy challenge to make but from my views there was no contact and the player stuck his leg back to try to initiate contact? I guess even without contact with a challenge like that, it's a freekick around the pitch so what you gonna do.

We got a point and stopped Liverpool. That’s what we are reduced to.
EtH fecked it up with the Garnacho sub. Focus on the sub and get EtH out of the club.

Nah, we did fine after Garnacho's sub. We needed to close shop and strengthen the midfield.

We had 2 wonder great goals and they were gifted a penalty. Still how they weren’t 5 up early I’ve no idea. Glad to see Klopp last OT appearance and they only got a point.

We went toe to toe with Liverpool. Again. Beautiful

We should have won. AWB is an idiot. But glad we took points of these feckers
This what happens when you don't have left backs. Back 2 back penalty conceded. 2 points from 9 instead of seven.

3 penalties in 2 games, it's lazy defending when you look at the challenges.

None of them were last ditch goal saving tackles.

How is it that we can both get smashed overall, but still have to give away the win with braindead mistakes. No other team does this.

Delighted with that result. Awful performance though. Very soft penalty imo but can't complain cos they should have scored about 5

Let's be real.

The moment Amrabat came on was the moment that ten Hag made it possible for us to lose that lead.

Time and time again his 'shut up shop' substitutions result in leads relinquished and games lost.

Hard not to be pleased with a point after that first half. Hopefully all those missed chances will come back to haunt Liverpool in the title race.

Glad we took points from them and hurt their chances of winning the title but this is also another example of losing late leads again. 8 points lost in the last three games. We shouldn't have taken Garnacho off.
Garnacho was pretty poor today.

Did well to get a point considering where we were at HT. Stupid tackle by AWB, he doesn't need to live up to his nickname all the time especially in and around the box. Defence apart from that was pretty solid. Obviously the massive issue was with our midfield and ball retention.

First time I've been into the matchday thread during a game today. Absolute cesspit of a thread - like twitter with people crying about Bruno and saying they don't want to see him ever play for the club at HT then calling him a genius a minute later. Laughable.

Happy to take the points off them, scored some good goals, upset Jurgen. That'll do, pig.

7 points dropped after 80 minutes in a week though... thats special.

At least we didn't just give them the 3 points like you'd half expect us to in recent years.

I said it after Chelsea, I'll say it again, this is the stupidest Untied team I've seen. Just so many individual, amateurish errors in this team. It's incredibly frustrating. Having said all that, if this is the draw that leads to pool losing the title, then it'll be worth it. But until then, It's two points dropped in terrible fashion.

I am proud of the players to be honest. We are missing 3/4s of our first choice defence. We seem to be set up in a way that defies all belief and the manager makes subs which we can all see are questionable. Despite all that, they found a way to compete and hinder Liverpool. Maguire and Kambwala outstanding.

We should count ourselves lucky with a point here I think.

That's now seven points dropped in the latter stages of games in the space of a week. This team simply cannot defend a lead.

The point doesn't make any difference to us really, but nice to put a dent in Liverpool's title hopes (as smalltime as that sounds).

I'll take that.

Expected goals: 0.71 - 3.59
Total shots: 9 - 28
Shots on target: 5 - 7
Possession: 38 - 62

A team of dumb brain farts, the only smart player was taken off when we needed him.

Mainoo, what a class goal.

We were awful so can’t complain about a draw, but feels mildly deflating conceding another late penalty and Antony missing his chance to repeat the Amad moment.

Hope those dropped points for Liverpool are significant.

Rashford goes off and we score immediately with the ball coming in from where he used to be...

Decent point in the end but we were dominated at home again. Still, was nice to see Klopp flapping after our second!

If you constantly allow the opposition to get into attacking positions around the box pens are going to happen

The team is on ETHs image, what do you expect.

Na, the thought is fine but should have got in McT or Eriksen . Sofiyan couldn't do anything at all.

The fact that we conceded so many penalty in last 15min, with those obvious sloppy mistakes, means lacking fitness / concentration. I don't think concentration was the cause, fitness is.
I don’t think you can really blame fitness. It’s a set up issue. Our players run a fecking lot and a lot of that is sprinting because we’re so open at all time.

ETH should be taking no thanks for what we're two individual moments of brilliance. Denting their title chances is the only pleasure I'm going to derive but with CL quali over its just a matter of looking forward to new managerial structure, the current one is goosed!

It's a real shame the Mainoo goal wasn't a match winner, it was really something special.

Playing Casemiro or McT or Erikson or Mount or Ambabat it ends up the same. A weak link in midfield. Lucky we have Mainoo or we'd be mid table.

Shame we gave away the late pen, thought we should have won that but at least the point is better than nothing.
