"Good result in all" sums up just how poor we are. There was a time when a draw at home was deemed unacceptable, when losing at home was considered an absolute sin, but now it seems if we manage not to get stuffed at home its seen as a "good performance" Liverpool are not as great as theyd like to think but they manage to be consistent and have plenty of shots on goal, and they tend to score a lot of them. They should gave been home and dry at half time with a 3-0 lead but instead allowed us to get back into the game, which we did brilliantly it must be said, but when Liverpool got their second wind with 20 minutes to go the writing was on the wall as we gradually retreated further and further back. City would have ripped us apart and if they had taken the chances Liverpool spurned could have declared at half time and they must be odds on now to complete the Treble again, and the only team with any chance of stopping that is Real Madrid. Im not even sure we'll beat Coventry and 6th is about the best we can hope for in the Prem, if we're lucky. Im not being defeatist, just realistic.
Yeah I remember those times but back then we were a proper team with a great manager. Sorry, that's not the case these days.

We might be in a better place, but we still pretty much suck on the pitch and are not close to competing for a big title. I think Ole would have done better.
Ole was one of the worst thing that happened to this club. Young talents like Martial, Rashford and Greenwood got coddled and allowed to do whatever they wanted with no accountability necessary. That’s easily 150m worth of talent wasted.

So what Greenwood did is now down to Ole, seriously

At least the players now show heart and fight to the end by beating Liverpool in the fa cup and punching them in their premier league title push. Well done!

Like every sane person Iv known for years how bad we are; the insanity though is that I and other usually sane people still pay to go and see how bad we are!

Martial was never going to fit in, even Sir Alex would have been hard pressed to make that happen, but on the other hand Sir Alex would never have signed him in the first place.
Rasford has been little more than a passenger since covid, and Ole had bugger all to do with that.
Greenwoods behaviour can in no way be levelled at anybody but himself.
Its all too easy to blame Ole for our woes, but it was Moyes who set the rot in motion by getting rid of the existing coaching staff of serial winners and replacing them with his a bunch of serial losers from Everton.
Van Gaal allowed the rot to set in and Mourinho let it fester; at least Ole tried to counter the prevailing attitude of negativity and defeatism.

Agreed, with his subsequent attitude he wouldn't have lasted as long with SAF but the rest is BS
I don't even think he would have developed any problematic 'attitude', when did it become a problem? Mourinho era?

So his 2nd season?
Yeah, or 3rd? I never had a problem with him during that time so y'all tell me?

On my initial point, Martial's early impact was praised by former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who stated that "he can do anything", and SAF was great at man management.... LVG, Mourinho, not so much...

This is one of the worst takes i've seen on this sub - you've just written a bunch of nonsense to align with some agenda.

My favorite line in this cacophony of bullshit is that Mourinho let the rot fester. This is the same guy that went to the board and told them they needed to sell the likes of Martial, Pogba etc because they were a virus to the team. He couldn't have tried much harder to get rid of the rot and was overruled by Woodward and his cronies.

Casemiro should never play again for this club. ETH cowardly subs again. Can't see anything positive from our play and setup. Young players are something to look forward to though.

I don’t think Liverpool’s team is all that much better than what our preferred starting XI is. Salah is a better goal scorer than anyone we have, but I wouldn’t want any of those players (okay maybe MacAllister).

Liverpool are significantly better than us. Even debating that is the definition of rose tinted glasses.

Yet somehow failed to beat us in 3 attempts this season drawing 0-0 at home (and could easilly have lost), losing in the FA Cup at OT, and needing a penalty to get a point at Old Trafford in the League.

Yes and there were seasons when we won the league and didn't beat Bolton or Middlesborough all season. Are you trying to say that Liverpool are not currently a significantly better football team than us?

He’s actually a really good and highly promising centre half.

But comparing a good performance in a 2-2 draw with a bang average team… to a centre midfielders overpowering display in an away champions league semi final, against a world class opppnent, under the cloud of missing the biggest match in the club calendar…

Batshit.

Maybe he's referring to the rumour that Mourinho let the academy go, and pushed for instant success

Top 4 isn't a thing this year as we'll get 5 spaces.

Europe will have an impact, but not for Liverpool, as they'll be able to drill past the Europa sh!te with heavily rotated outfits.
really drilling through those sh1te outfits tonight huh?
