Nothing, I've lost faith. Suddenly having a logical setup that can control matches and have the team as a whole at least attempting to play well would only result in more questions at this point- like why the hell didn't he do this 6 months ago. It would be nice to win the FA Cup though.

I can't name a single action.

If he immediately found a way to make a tactical change that made us look like at least one of the top 5 or 6 teams in the league performance wise and then was very honest in saying he made some mistakes in how he tried to set us up as a side and was probably too slow to tweak things out of stubbornness then I would probably respect the self awareness enough to see what happens.

Subbing Rashford before the end of the first 45min if/when his work rate is extremely poor. If he's going to be sacked least he could do is a Rangnick and call out every last lazy fecker in the squad for being a lazy fecker.

Change the midfield. Two defensive midfielders who stay close to each other and the back 4, with Bruno in front at 10.
Stay compact.
But he obviously won’t change now if we’ve gone the whole season the way we have.

That seems to me to be the most realistic ‘fix’, that easily gives you an extra 12 or 15 points over a season IF implemented correctly, and potentially more than that. Two DMs who can defend as part of their natural game, shield the centre backs, especially until you can get faster/better ones in, retain the ball well (doesn’t have to be in a complicated way, creativity can come from elsewhere). And then the attacking play can come from a combination of the wide attackers (any TWO from Rashford, Garnacho, Diallo, Antony), plus ONE from Bruno, Mount, Mainoo centrally, and potentially another centre forward to share the burden with Hojlund. This could all be done with 3 additions, which is realistic in a single summer.

Yes, but the problem is I think we need a new manager because ten Hag seems to be too stubborn to change the midfield set up.
It looks like he’s been trying to justify the Mount signing all season.

A visible attempt at fixing it glaring issues.

Indication of understanding our issues.

Things like that....

Him doing a Klopp and giving a statement that he is tired and this will be his last toll of the dice.

Change the formation.

The biggest strike against him is that teams have been walking through us all season long because we have a 50 yard void in the midfield. Despite this being obvious to everyone he continues to pick the same players and play the same system week in and week out and this makes him look like he either is tactically clueless or stubborn to the point of stupidity.

Fit the formation and team tactics to what you have at your disposal. Might be the best tactic ever but if you don't have the squad to make it work find something they can execute proficiently.

It is a glaring flaw and his failure to address it is going to be why he is justifiably let go in the summer.

Oh I totally agree with that too. From the outside, not as a fan of Utd, it just seems pretty clear that he’s not the right person for the job. He’s struggling to adapt, and he seems quite stubborn, it’s not a good combination for such a difficult task. I might be wrong, but I’d bet good money that I’m not.

Involve the full backs in the press so the wingers don’t have to chase the ball floated over their head 15 times a game

Start valuing compactness, and picking players that facilitate control, both in possession and in allowing you to have compactness. I'm not a results oriented person when it comes to setting up the foundation of a title winning team. Get United to be entertaining, and value things that every top manager values. That he can't even do this bare minimum is why he should be gone.

Implement a very good, cohesive, connected off the ball defensive structure within the whole team which would help us control games better and thus make us a far better team.

Given my concerns with him are his coaching and that I don't think recruitment should be his responsibility anyway, yeah it'd be get the coaching right and we should be good. That's his main job.

ETH failed me on recruitment, on training and preparation, on pre-game tactics, OK on in-game tactical changes.

None of that can be changed, or significantly improved, during a season, except a sudden improvement on remaining result such as N straight wins, will we?

Beat the clubs current highest unbeaten run streak.

Halfway through I'd be a fan.... beating it? I'm a believer then
